Introducere 1/21 DATA: septembrie 2001, editia 1.0 revizuita
Introducere
Scopul lucrarii
Prezentul document sintetizeaza, ordoneaza #i prezinta, intr-un prim volum,
performantele #i caracteristicile a 144 de aeronave care opereaza frecvent in spatiul aerianal Romaniei.Necesitatea compilarii acestor date intr-o baza de date coerenta rezulta din cerintele
functionarii in bune conditii atat a sistemului IDS cat #i a sistemului FDP/RDP, pentrufluidizarea optima #i mentinerea sigurantei zborurilor.
Referin'ePentru intocmirea acestui document, s-au folosit numeroase documente, publicatii #i
alte surse de referinta, ca de exemplu:- Janes All the Worlds Aircraft;- Aircraft 2ndedition;- Aircraft Type Designators;- Companii aeriene ca TAROM, DACAIR, etc.
Structura documentuluiDocumentul este structurat in doua capitole:
- Capitolul 1: Definitii, inglobeaza definitiile termenilor folositi pe parcursul lucrarii- Capitolul 2: Performante #i caracteristici aeronave, sintetizeaza, ordoneaza #i prezintaperformantele #i caracteristicile a 144 de aeronave care opereaza frecvent in spatiulaerian al Romaniei.

Those used to control trajectory of aircraft (thus, not trimmers, tabs, flaps, slats, airbrakes orlift dumps and so on).
Primary-f l ight disp lays
Single screen bearing all data for aircraft flight path control.
Profan
A family of new technology propellers characterised by multiple scimitar-shaped blades withthin sharp-edged profile. Single and contrarotating examples promise to extend propellerefficiency up to an aircraft Mach number of about 0.8.
Pressure-al t i tude
An atmospheric pressure expressed in terms of altitude which corresponds to that pressurein the Standard Atmosphere.
Port
Left side of the aircraft, looking forward.
Psychoact ive sub stances
Alcohol, opioids, cannabinoids, sedatives and hypnoties, cocaine, other psychostimulants, hallucinogens and volatile solvents, whereas coffee and tobacco are excluded.
R
Radar vector in gPerformance of navigational guidance to aircraft in the form of specific headings, based onthe use of radar.
Radius of act ion
In terms of performance, the distance an aircraft can fly from base and return withoutintermediate landing.
Range
The distance an aircraft can fly with specified load and usually while making allowance for
specified additional manoeuvres (directions, stand off, go-around and so on).
Rate of cl im b
Vertical distance flown by an aircraft in a unit of time, during climb given in feet / min underISA conditions at maximum take-off weight (MTOW). These data depend on many externalinfluences and differ in daily operations.
Rate of desc ent
Vertical distance flown by an aircraft in a unit of time, during descend, given in feet / minunder ISA conditions at maximum landing weight (MLW). These data depend on many
external influences and differ in daily operations.

Redundant
Provided with spare capacity or data channels and thus made to survive failures.
Required navigat ion perform ance (RNP)
A statement of the navigation performance necessary for operation within a defined
airspace.
RNP type
A containment value expressed as a distance in nautical miles from the intended positionwithin which flights will be for at least 95 per cent of the total flying time.
Runw ay visu al range - (RVR)
The range over which the pilot of an aircraft on the centre line of a runway can see therunway surface markings or the lights delineating the runway or identifying its centre line.
RuddervatorsFlying control surface, ussualy a V-tail, that control both yaw and pitch attitude.
S
Safe-life
A term denoting that a component has proved by testing that it can be expected to continueto function safely for a precisely defined period before replacement.
Sensit ive alt imeter
Altitude indicator of mechanical type, having acute sensitivity.
Service cei l ing
Altitude at which an aircraft with normal rated load is unable to climb faster than 100 fpmunder ISA conditions.
Sidel ine nois e
EPNdB (Effective Perceived Noise, in decibel) measure of aircraft landing and taking off atpoint 0,25 NM (two or three engined) or 0,35 NM (four engined) from runway center line.
Sidest ick
Control column in the form of a short handgrip beside the pilot.
Slat
Auxiliary curved or mini-aerofoil surface designed to prevent flow breakaway from a wing ortail. On a tail leading edge it may be fixed, leaving a narrow slot. On a wing it is alwaysretractable, normally flush with the wing profile, but extended (under power or byaerodynamic lift) to leave a narrow slot for take off, low speed loiter or landing.
Speci fic fue l consum pt ionRate at which fuel is consumed divided by power or thrust developed and thus a measure ofengine efficiency.

State of reg istry
The state on whose register the aircraft is entered.
Stal ling speed
Airspeed at which aircraft stalls at 1g, that is wing lift suddenly collapses.
Standard Day
ISA temperature and pressure.
Starboard
Right side of the aircraft, looking forward.
Stealth
Low-observable (materials and structures designed to reduce aircraft signatures of allkinds).
Stic k sh aker
Stall-warning device that noisily shakes pilots control column as stalling angle of attack isneared.
T
Taileron
Left and right tail planes used as primary control surfaces.
Tai lp lane
Main horizontal tail surface, originally fixed and carrying hinged elevator(s) but today often asingle slab serving as control surface.
Transponder
Radio transmitter triggered automatically by a particular received signal as in civil secondarysurveillance radar (SSR).
Turbofan
Gas turbine jet engine generating most thrust by a large-diameter cowled fan, with small
part added by jet from core.
Turbojet
Simplest form of gas turbine comprising compressor, combustion chamber, turbine andpropulsive nozzle.
Turboprop
Gas turbine in which as such energy as possible it from gas jet and used to drive reductiongearbox and propeller.
