Periodontology MClinDent /
This full-time, three-year Master's programmeprovides intensive knowledge of the basicprinciples of periodontal diseases, the managementof advanced periodontal cases and the surgicalcomponents of implant dentistry.
Degree summary
The programme offers students the ability to assess and manage theperiodontal needs of a patient and to become competent in thepresentation, diagnosis and management of all known diseases anddisorders of the periodontium.

The programme is delivered through seminars, tutorials, individual andsmall-group teaching, self-directed learning, and practical clinical andexperiential learning; with maximum exposure to clinical methodologiesand management of patients with periodontal diseases.
Degree structure
Mode: Full-time: 3 years
Location: London, Bloomsbury
Students undertake modules to the value of 540 credits. The currentstructure of modules is under review and may be updated in February2018. Year one consists of core modules (180 credits). Year two consistsof core modules (180 credits). Year three consists of core modules (120credits) and a dissertation (60 credits).

Employability
Following completion of the programme, graduates have joined orstarted dental practices in the UK, EU and overseas working in the fieldof periodontics and implant dentistry. Some graduates have followedclinically related PhD programmes and have been appointed toacademic positions in dental schools in the UK and overseas. A numberof international graduates have been appointed to prestigiousgovernmental positions in their countries.
Entry requirements
All applicants must normally hold an approved dental qualification andhave a minimum of two years' clinical experience post-qualification.
English language proficiency level
If your education has not been conducted in the English language, youwill be expected to demonstrate evidence of an adequate level ofEnglish proficiency.
The level of English language proficiency for this programme is: Good.
