Performance Center Alexanderhoehe | Iserlohn, Germany | B+U, LLP | competition
The Performance Center in Iserlohn, Germany was a call for entries for an addition to the existing parktheater. The residents of iserlohn wanted a structure that would not only compliment the exiting theater, but also serve as a landmark for the community. the concept was a floating sphere that did not disrupt the existing building. The public
program would exist underneath the sphere, and the sphere itself would house the new multifunction theater space that has the ability to re-configure four different ways. The Sphere was molded into an oblong shape that would successfully accommodate this spatial configuration.

Performance Center Alexanderhoehe | Iserlohn, Germany | B+U, LLP | competition
My responsibilities for this project included: diagram-ming our conceptual ideas, modeling in Rhinoceros 3D, drafting the complex model in autocad, and utiliz-ing photoshop to give depth to the floor plans and dia-grams. I was also in charge of drafting the complex staircase per code, while assuring it flowed within the
space properly. I also researched and drafted the differ-ent configurations for the multifunction theater space.

New Taipei City Art Museum | Taipei, Taiwan | B+U, LLP | competition
This competition was a call for en-tries for a contemporary art museum in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The pro-gram consisted of Public spaces, in-cluding restaurants, Shops, and learning center, in addition to indoor and outdoor museum exhibition spac-es. I performed extensive research
on program and site analysis, which translated into a series of program studies. These studies informed the conceptual mass of the project. My responsibilities included produc-tion of floor plan drawings, program diagrams, conceptual diagrams, and climate and sustainability diagrams.

Mixed Use Development | Los Angeles County | B+U, LLP | Museum Quality Model-making
This model was constructed of a 3D printed structure and floor plates. It was printed in two pieces and then glued together, paint-ed, and sanded in order to form a seamless connection. The people, tables, and chairs were also 3D printed and spray painted. The skin of the model was vacuum-formed, cut to shape, sanded to fit, and spray painted
according to transparency level. We then glued the skin to the structure as seam-less as possible. The benches and patio de-sign were also 3D printed. The base was constructed of wood and the street blocks cut out of styrene sheets. the surround-ing buildings were cut from dense foam, cut into blocks, and detailed accordingly.

It is the year 2020 and Shanghai, China is a booming city. Its rich, Multicultural history has allowed it to be open to experimentation. In a time when High Technology has become the subject of our obsessions, we are in constant need of more research, more electron-ic products, more server space, and more wireless networks. We dream of robots coexist-ing within our society. Shanghai has stepped up to become the hub of the high technology industry. A city for the highly-educated, scientific professional has emerged. The city - known as Bio-City exists independently from Old Shanghai. It has its own rules, its own jurisdiction, and is completely dedicated to Universities around the world in order to cre-ate an area for research, teaching, learning, and production for fields such as Biotech-nology, A.I., Nuclear Physics, Telecommunications, and aerospace, just to name a few. Uni-versities such as MIT, Harvard, Oxford, University of Hong Kong, and Koto University have established graduate and PhD programs in Bio-City in order to build toward the future.

The building will be an icon, something that the people of Santa Monica will see and think, This is Audi, sleek, sexy, and luxurious!
This is a project for the German Auto-maker: Audi. It houses their headquarters in downtown Santa Monica, just south of the Pacific Coast Highway. LA Car show: Toyota LeMans Pavilion | Los Angeles, CA | Cal Poly | Spring Quarter 2009
The Toyota pavilion in the Los Angeles Auto Show of 2025 showcases the LeMans Racer, which is participat-ing in the Great Race Around the World. This pavilion takes inspiration from the front form of the car, spe-cifically the fenders and the ribs that allow the car to
expand and contract for its two modes: cornering and High Speed. The uniqueness of the car comes from the completely digital environment in the cockpit, paired with a robot co-pilot that allows for more efficient driving and simulation of better outdoor conditions.
-
LA Car show: Toyota LeMans Pavilion | Los Angeles, CA | Cal Poly | Spring Quarter 2009
The creation of this car pavilion model was in-spired by the automotive making process. In this process you take a foam block and carve it into the basic shape of your car. Once the basic shape is finished, you cover the foam with layers of clay, which become the canvas for sculpting the curves
and fluid details of the cars shell [or body]. Once that process is com-plete, the clay is divided into a grid pattern that allows for the digitizing process to begin. Once the clay model is brought into a 3D environment, it can be further developed/designed within the com-puter.
In this particular exer-cise, we explored the use of the laser cutter to aid the design process. By taking the digital model and creating section cuts along the body of the pa-vilion, a series of ribs were extracted. These ribs became the frame-work for the pavilions structure.

Mixed Use Residential Apts. | San Luis Obispo, CA | Cal Poly | Winter Quarter 2009
Urban Infill was the focus of this project, enhancing the un-derstanding of mixed use build-ing types. The site is Downtown San Luis Obispo, on the cor-ner of Marsh st. and osos st. The site borders commercial downtown zoning and residen-
tial zoning. It was important to look at what kinds of uses were needed downtown, as well as those that would enrich the social environment and com-munity. The program includes restaurants, cafes, retail, a public gallery, and housing.
