PermaDri Spray Demonstration Training
Fresno Facility Spray DemonstrationsPlus Field Application Pictures
Set Up Information Facing spray machine open A and B regulator located
on pump by turning plastic gray lever handle ½ turn from left to right.
Allow pressure to build in regulator.
Use the red line on regulator gauge to determine pressure setting.
Adjust pressure setting on regulator by turning the gray knob on regulator left (up) or right (down) to adjust pressure higher or lower to desired setting.
Start Up Start Spray Machine and let material circulate. Make sure
both A and B sides are mixed well before spraying.

Cart Mount with reel and Electric Drive
Spray Pattern
Take spray gun and in a container spray A side only to make sure you have a good spray fan and do same with B side.
Then spray both A and B side simultaneously making sure that both the A and B side spray fans come together approximately 12-18 inches from end of spray wand tips.
Complete Skid Mount Set-up
Turning plastic gray lever on regulator ½ turn from left to right
Take spray gun and in a container spray A side only to make sure you have a good spray fan and repeat with B side.
Spray into Trash Barrel to check spray pattern: Spray both A and B sides simultaneously to check “spray fan”
Complete gun assembly attached hose
Brass Valve Seat properly positioned
Adjusting spray tips vertically
Attaching wands
Wands securely attached
Spray Application Practise
Beginning at the lowest point of substrate, start spraying substrate by leading with the A side (emulsion) followed by the B side (calcium chloride) going from right to left covering the desired area and immediately spraying directly back over applied material from left to right to starting point.
Wands must be perpendicular to substrate
Feathering at end of spray pattern to avoid ridges in applied membrane
50% overlap-leading with A side followed by B side from right to left
Immediately spraying directly back over applied material from left to right
Spray application “WRONG “Too much angle to the Spray pattern
“Good” Spray Angle 90 Degrees/Perpendicular to the substrate
Good angle and excellent 50% overlap
Building Coverage Start next pass by moving spray gun towards
applicator ½ the width of applied material (point wands at the closest edge of applied material) and start covering 50% of applied material and 50% of substrate leading with A side followed by the B side going from right to left the complete distance of the applied material and immediately spraying directly back over applied material from left to right to starting point.
Spraying workable size areas
Good distance from substrate
Wands vertical to substrate
Comfortable working distance from body
Draping hose over shoulder takes weight off arm and wrist
Good spray pattern-observe lines
Immediate walk-ability-however it leaves footprints for first 30 minutes or so at 20C or 70F
Building thickness on vertical substrate
Over 2 inches in thickness ( Note: Do not spray this thick on a project!) w/o any sag
Dust mask and goggles
Reviewing thickness
2 prong moisture meter
Checking Thickness 60 – 80 mils for corrosion, wear and impact
Note Water Streaming out of Instant Set Water Based Coating

“A” Side Only Application took less than 50 minutes on 15,000 sq ft or
1,500 Sq M
