He is one of pioneers in developing the quantum scaling law for Child-Langmuir law and new electron emission law (thermionic, field

and photo-emission) for novel two-dimensional (2D) materials and operating at ultrashort pulse regime. He has published about 160 journal papers, 170 conference papers, and >50 invited talks including 2 in the American physical Society (APS), Division of Plasma Physics (DPP) annual meeting (2005, 2012) and a few under ICOPS. His current research projects are electron emission for plasma physics, charge injection of novel materials device physics, low power computing, AI-based physics design and fractional modeling. His research projects not only funded from Singapore, but also from USA Defense (AFOSR-AOARD, ONR-Global). His google citation is about 4700 with h index = 38. He is a fellow, UK Institute of Physics, and IEEE NPSS Distinguished Lecturer.
