Here’s a deeper look into what you’ll experience and cover during the workshop:Day 01: Introduction

At the start of the workshop the trainer will fi nd out what you most want to achieve from the training and any top priority issues that you want to address. Your trainer will always tailor the workshop to the specifi c needs of the group and ensure that everyone’s personal objectives are fully achieved.

The skills of personal masteryThe fi rst day begins with the recognition that we are each in the driver’s seat of our own life. We choose how we perform and the better we know how to get the best from ourselves, the greater theresults we will be able to achieve.

What being successful means for us nowWe start by taking a look at the latest trends and thinking from leading thinkers and leaders about what helps or hinders organisational success. We will consider what this means for us as leaders and what we each can bring to the table to face everyday demands and challenges.

Realising your greatest leadership strengths and potentialWe then look at practical ways to develop an expert understanding about ourselves, starting with your Signature Strengths and building up to how these can be optimised for different situations.

Unleashing the power of the positiveWe then learn what neuroscience and positive psychology have to teach us about the power of our thinking, and how to increase our mental and emotional fi tness and dexterity to be able to uncover the most advantageous ways of thinking about a situation. This includes learning new ways to leverage positivity, how to build psychological capital, and why being happy at work is guaranteed to lead us to greater results and outcomes. You will learn how you can continually keep increasing happiness at work, no matter what your circumstances, and how you can build and strengthen the resilience capabilities needed for any setbacks and tough times you may run into.

Spanning the gap from now into your ideal futureFrom this platform of core strengths, you will then have the chance to create your own personal vision for your ideal future, identifying what you need to do to turn this into reality.

21st century time management tools and techniquesWe bring the fi rst day to a close with a look at the most up-to-date ideas and techniques for managing your time and achieving whatever is the ‘right’ balance for you across your many different and competing roles, demands, aspirations and expectations. You will be supplied with a toolkit for getting the best from yourself and your time, including the technology, people and other resources you have to draw from.

Day 02:The skills of making great relationships Building on the practical personal mastery techniques from day one, we next focus on how to shift your power and infl uence beyond your own thinking and actions to engage, persuade and motivate the people around you.

Developing expertise in relationship intelligencesWe begin with a review of why we now know conclusively that making great relationships is morecritical to our success than any other factor across whatever metric you might think of: our performance, our career success, our income, our learning, our creativity and ability to solve problems, our stress and health, and even our likelihood of living a long life. The fundaments of this expertise are emotional intelligence (EQ), social intelligence (SQ) and cultural intelligence (CQ), and you will learn not only what each of these means, but also the practical ways you can develop your own mastery in them.

The fi ne and diffi cult art of high quality listeningGiving people your highest quality attention is of vital importance to collective success, and you will get some nuts-and-bolts techniques for doing this, especially in those times when you feel pressed for time, distracted, or emotionally charged by your personal feelings. You will also be given the key to asking the really terrifi c questions that unlock and uncover another person’s independence and creativity.

High impact persuasive communications You will learn the essential steps between telling someone what you want and getting them to actually do it, including what it takes to get someone’s attention, interest, trust, belief and desire to act in the way you want. We will teach you a highly sophisticated communication technique, Language and Behaviour (LAB) Profi ling, for changing people’s minds and building rapports, especially when it is not already occurring between you naturally, in order to hugely increase your infl uence, persuasion and ability to motivate others.

Leading people in groups and collaborative teamsThen we will look at working with people in groups and how to facilitate the conditions for excellent collaboration. This will include how to make sensible leadership choices when the situation is not conducive to egalitarian team working and instead requires hierarchical control over the outcomes. We will examine the range of your communication palette, from high Advocacy (telling) through to high Inquiry (listening and asking questions), as well as how these can be blended to best match different people and situations.

Crystallising and galvanising your learning for future leadership successYou will end the course with the chance to refl ect on what you have learned and can take away, along with what you want to continue to practice and work towards, and how you can keep your learning and leadership capabilities fresh, vital, up-to-date and nourishing from now on.

Tailoring the workshop to your needsBefore you attend the workshop we’ll ask you to fi ll in a short questionnaire.
