Welcome

Shiela Brown, founder of the Rauenfels Boxer Kennels, passed away on 5 August 2013 - aged 92 years.

Shiela Brown was born in England in 1920 and met her Australian husband Joe during the Second World War while they were both serving in Africa.

They settled in Sydney and Shiela acquired her first Boxer in 1953. After a three year posting in the UK, the family returned to Sydney in 1961 bringing with them Astranells Leta (Imp UK) sired by Eng. Ch. Wardrobes Wild Mink.

Mated to Eng. Ch. Wardrobes Joriemour Witch Doctor, Leta produced most notably Ch. Rauenfels Jungle Doctor owned by Tony Dobson.

Shiela was one of the founding members of the Western Districts Boxer Club when it was affiliated at Orange in the Central West of NSW.

The family, with a daughter and three sons moved to Bathurst and established boarding kennels which Shiela managed for 37 years until she retired aged 87.

A past President of Bathurst Kennel Club, Shiela ran the Dog Section of the Bathurst Royal for many years

She maintained her love for the breed and her last litter in 1999 to Ch. Skelder Ebb and Flow (Imp UK) produced her last champion, Ch. Rauenfels Helter Skelter.

Judging Commences: 9.00am with classes

Classes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11 & 18 dogs and bitches.

Pointscore Western Districts Boxer Club of NSW Inc.

This show is conducted under the rules and regulations of the RNSWCC, a copy of which may be perused at the Secretary's Office.

No puppy under the age of six (6) months may compete against any dog six (6) months of age or over in any class or for any special prize. All dogs must be registered with the RNSWCC or affiliated Interstate Canine Council.

No dogs, other than those exhibited, are allowed on or within the precincts of the grounds during the conduct of the show. All ribbons and trophies must be collected on the day of the show.

In accordance with Regulations Part II - Show Section 14.10, it is the obligation of any person at a show who observes a dog behaving in an aggressive manner to report the incident either orally or in writing to a member of the Show Committee as soon as possible on the day of the show.

Introducing Our Judge: Peter Foster Boxhaven Boxers (NSW)

Peter has been involved with Boxers since 1961 when he purchased his first Boxer Jawina Lord Socrates a son of Ch Casa Verde Rusty Jnr. and has been exhibiting at championship shows since 1962 and has been actively involved with the breed ever since.

His kennel prefix BOXHAVEN was registered with the Kennel Control in 1962 and in conjunction with his wife Hilda (who he met while attending shows) they have bred 40+ champions and owned/bred 13 individual Best in Show winners. Peter had the honour of being invited to give the breed lecture to judges training scheme candidates in Western Australia, Tasmania and New South Wales. He has judged the following Boxer Club Championship Shows:- Western Australia Boxer Club; South Australian Boxer Club; Queensland Boxer Club( twice); Tasmanian Boxer Club; Minnesota Boxer Club; New Jersey Boxer Club; New York Boxer Club; The Boxer Club Inc. (Auckland); Wellington Boxer Club (New Zealand); The Anglian Boxer Club (UK); The Northern Boxer Club (UK). Peter is looking forward to officiating at the Western Districts Boxer club of NSW Inc. Championship Show.
