We’d like to invite you to show your support for the realisation and success of ‘Festiclown Palestine 2010’ and in defense of Iván Prado and Laila T. after their unfair expulsion from Israel on the 27th April Iván (director of Festiclown) and Laila were on their way to Palestine to continue with their ongoing efforts of bringing ‘Festiclown Palestine 2010’ into reality, only to be stopped, interrogated, withheld and deported back to Spain by Israeli authorites.The unjustified expulsion of Iván Prado from Israel demonstrates the Israeli authorities determination to stop the project ‘Festiclown Palestine 2010’ and to continue with its strategy of isolating the Palestinian society from the rest of the worldTRANSCRIPT

MANIFEST "BY A FESTICLOWN IN PALESTINE"
1 - For more than 60 years the Palestinian people have been being deprived of both their dignity and fundamental rights due to the presence of Israeli military forces that are carrying out apartheid and an endless war, and in doing so compelling the Palestinian society to live day by day with both hate and violence
2 - In this context, Festiclown (International Clown Festival of Galicia) intends to travel to Palestine in 2010. Taking with them a solidarity team of international performers destined for the Palestinian refugee camps to build networks of joy and human alliance.
3 - During an entire week, shows and workshops will be given by people from circus and clown professionals from all over the world. Together they will share laughter and use it as a future weapon against injustice and all walls of oppression and impunity.
4 - ´FestiClown Palestine 2010´ will carry out different sorts of clown and circus activities, as creative and entertaining actions with the Palestinian civil population, counting on the local theatre and circus groups to help turn the Festival into reality.
5 - The members of the ´FestiClown Palestine 2010´ believe in and work on the possibility of building humanity through the arts, clown and circus, and within this creating a world of full of justice, democracy and dignity.
For the above reasons, and taking into account the importance of the clown in the defense of human social values, I decide to support the realisation of the ´FestiClown Palestine 2010´ by signing the petition.
The petition, promoted by the cultural association ´Pallasos en Rebeldía´, which develops distinct and unique projects of humanitarian alliance based on humour and laughter, is looking for the support of all groups, associations and individuals who love the circus, clowns and right of freedom.
