Petra Engineering Industries Co. was founded in 1987 with a broad vision to produce a wide variety of HVAC equipment that meet a diversity of application requirements and to export to major worldwide markets. A computer selection program allows fast and accurate selections of PAH units at different conditions. These units are widely used in a variety of applications. The units are designed to provide easy service and access to major components. Quick release access doors/panels offer complete accessibility to fans, coils and filters.

! Penta-post construction is used for a unique rigid construction with single or double skin panels! Single skin panels are insulated with fiberglass as standard or polyurethane as an option (1" or 2"

Performance Requirements for Air-Conditioners (SASO 2663)

! Non-ducted Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps – Testing and Rating Performance (SASO 2681)

! Ducted Air-Conditioners and Air-to-Air Heat Pumps – Testing and Rating for Performance (SASO 2682)

Tests were done at an ambient of 35°C, and 46°C, in the case of cooling, and 7°C in the case of heating.Intertek Testing Services (ITS) certified all the test results. Tests included a full evaluation of the products' performance and power consumption.

Petra became the first Jordanian company to have its consumer product range given a rating of “A” for energy efficiency by the 'Jordan Institute of Standards and Metrology – (JISM)'. This rating was awarded after the products were tested by Intertek under the supervision of JISM.
