The most important day of your life deserves a very special setting. Celebrate your marriage at the Petwood Hotel and a beautiful setting awaits you and your guests. The Petwood Hotel is a Grade II listed former country house located in the village of Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire.

Our extensive gardens planned by the premier landscape architects of the Edwardian era make the perfect backdrop for your photographs. We have a number of suites to choose from including the classic Petwood Suite, the beautiful Woodland Suite and the delightful Garden Room.

CeremonyCivil Wedding Ceremonies & Civil Partnerships

We would be delighted to host your ceremony. The Petwood Hotel is licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships.

Please note that civil ceremonies may only be booked at the hotel in conjunction with a wedding breakfast and evening reception.

The Petwood Suite offers the Drawing Room for the ceremony. The Drawing Room seats up to 80 guests, offering sweeping views across

the grounds, beautifully carved oak panelling, open fires, and a large stunning bay window perfect for your musicians.

For weddings taking place in the Woodland Suite, ceremonies are held in the Elm Suite, which then forms the room for your evening reception. The Elm Suite seats up to 150 ceremony guests and is beautifully decorated with stunning chandeliers, opening onto its own private terrace.

Petwood Suite The Petwood Suite was the original ballroom of the house, welcoming royalty and stars of the early 20th century. The views of the gardens are spectacular and doors opening onto the terrace for direct access to the grounds add an extended entertaining space. Comfortably seating a maximum of 80 guests, the Petwood Suite can accommodate up to 120 guests for your evening reception.

Woodland Suite The spacious and versatile Woodland Suite is a self-contained entertaining

area, benefiting from its own entrance, bar and terrace leading onto the gardens. The largest of our suites, it can accommodate up to 180 guests for your wedding breakfast and 220 evening guests. This versatile room can be split into two smaller rooms giving you the option for your ceremony.

Garden Room For more intimate wedding celebrations, our light and airy Garden Room offers the perfect setting. With doors opening straight out onto the gardens, the room lives up to its name and is an ideal setting for celebrating with

up to 35 close family and friends.

Bedrooms Beautifully presented bedrooms combine classic furniture with updated amenities. Choose from a standard double or twin room, upgrade to an executive room or indulge in a four poster suite, the latter offering stunning views of the Petwood grounds, boasting a classic four poster bed and furnishings in keeping with the style of the hotel.

The Weigall Suite, named after the founding family of the Petwood, offers two storey accommodation with a comfortable sitting area overlooking the gardens.

Accommodation The Bride and Groom are offered complimentary accommodation in one of our double rooms, subject to availability, or upgrade for an additional charge to one of our four poster suites with champagne, flowers, chocolates and fruit.

A special accommodation rate is available to guests attending your wedding.

We advise you to book rooms for your immediate family and other guests to book their own rooms. Accommodation in Woodhall Spa is limited especially in the Summer months, so it is advisable to ask your guests to book early to avoid disappointment.

Book into the Hotel the evening prior with your bridal party and family, enjoy private dining in the Squadron Bar and drinks in the Drawing Room. Dine together at breakfast before being whisked away to your bedroom to have your make up, nails and hair styled. Enjoy sandwiches and champagne before putting on your wedding dress.

For the groom and ushers, take in a round of golf at the Hotchkin or Bracken course before heading back to the Hotel to get ready, then meet for drinks in the bar or on the terrace.

What time does the party have to end? The bar closes to non-residents at 12.30am. From then on only hotel residents will be able to purchase drinks by charging to room accounts on proof of a valid charge card. All entertainment should be concluded by 1am.

Do you allow confetti? Yes, you are welcome to throw confetti for photographs inside the hotel but not in the grounds.

Do you cater for more than one wedding a day? Yes, our experienced events team carefully plans the day to ensure the smooth-running of your event. The main entertaining spaces are also at opposite ends of the hotel to enhance the privacy of your celebration.

How many bedrooms can we have? We can hold a reservation of up to 20 rooms for your guests (subject to availability). However, to ensure the accuracy of this guest list, we ask for a sole contact (such as the bride or groom) to manage the list and communicate to us the names of these guests.

Do you offer a discount for bedrooms? Yes, we offer a special rate to guests attending functions at the hotel inclusive of full English breakfast the following morning.
