same time strong enough to be used for

supporting structures. Of all construction

materials, wood requires the smallest

amount of energy for manufacture,

transport and processing.

And more wood than is currently being

used grows in our forests.

At Pfeifer, so-called scrap wood becomes a valuable raw material. We use wood cut-offs as fuel thus helping

to reduce the use of fossil energy sources. With our biomass power plants, we additionally supply many

households with bio power.

grown to a group currently employing 1,500 employees and operating from 8 plants
