Motivations For city becoming more and more prosperous, thousands of toys are made.

Most of these toys not only are interesting but also have large amount of

variety. Just because of these, the motivation of buying toys from children is

getting huger. But it too much of an expense for a normal family to buy too

many kinds of toys, especially the interesting and high-tech toys. In an

addition, many parents may meet the situation: their child insists on buying

an expensive toy. Parents hesitate when their child cry. Finally the toy is

bought and the little child gets great happiness. However, after a few days,

the child feels boring to the toy and never touches it again. It makes parents’

heart ache to see such waste. How to solve these problems above? You do

not need to buy the toys. You can RENT the TOYS in our system---Toys

Renting System. In toys renting system, you can process the most kinds of

toys in the world and cost only a little money.

System functions To rent the toys, you only need to stay at home and open the computer. Enter

our website and then order the toys you want. After that, we will send the

toys to your home. Our system is easy for novice to use. After login our

system, all the toys’ pictures will be show on screen.

For renting, you just click the picture of toy, and then the toy will in

order list.

If you halt between renting or not, you can right click mouse and select

“collect the toy” to keep that toy.

After finishing the order, you can press the “order list” button on bottom of

the web page and then write down your address. Finally press “send” button

to send the information to us.

Potential users The parents wanting many kinds of toys, the kindergarten teacher,

teenagers, etc.

More than 100,000 (per day, expect to increase)

The web-based system is intended to provide a variety of toys for family saving money. The

potential user group is 0-5 year-old children.

4. Advantage:

(1)System functions:

The web-based system provides a convenient platform to rent what the children want. Inside the

system, it provides the toy selection, the way for payment and the relevant information of toys.

(2)Interface design:

As far as the platform referring to babies, it should have more cute and lovely interface than

other business platforms. Firstly, its homepage has two advantages: concise and friendly.

Conciseness of the interface design: 1.concise detailed instructions if you want to order toys. 2.

The given perfect choice plan. 3. Concise structures of toy selection. 4. Some services for babies

on vacation. Each branch has simple handling.

Friendliness of the interface design: the system uses a variety of cute picture and different

bright colors to form the homepage. Secondly, the interface applies different styles and simple

words to express, making parents feel the orientation of this web-based system is relaxing and

friendly, so attract more parents to come in. Thirdly, the homepage always displays the most

important information, which makes the customers easier to have access to the latest situation.

Finally, the rolling captions are added in the interface design, making full use of limited homepage

space to hold more information.

5. Disadvantages & improvement to be made:

As a toy supplier, the web-based system has relatively too few items to cater to different

parents’ choices.

Firstly, some special toys can be added into the system such as advanced toys involved in

popular science to inspire children’s mind in early time.

Secondly, we should provide some concise and creative manuals for some advanced toys.

3. Brief Introduction

The existing system that I’m going to introduce is called the Payless Car-rental

System. By providing information such as pick-up location, pick-up date, and the

car-type, you can get to your ideal car within one click. The system functions are

really powerful, due to its multi-system structure. Mainly there are seven sub-systems,

including Register and Sign-in System, Reservation System, Custom Care System,

etc.

4. Advantages:

The interfaces are quite easy to navigate, for the designers have made the title very

clear.

There are some functions that are very thoughtful. For example, they have "Specials"

where the users can find all kinds of available discounts, no matter by being a member,

or taking the last-minute deals. The system also take the personal preference into

account, you can choose domestic cars or international cars. If you are an

environmentalist, you may even choose the green cars.

Of course there are some flaws too. The information at the homepage seems to be too

much. I don't think many people would spend their time reading those teeny-tiny

words. I think homepage should be simple, only

display those most important functions.

5. disadvantages & improvement to be made:

The introductions of functions could be moved to another section, instead of being in

the homepage. There are some icons like that are not universally understood.

The web-based system is intended to provide a variety of computers for people saving money.

The potential users mainly consider convenience and cheapness.

4. Advantages:

(1). Interface design:

The interface is clear and user can easily understand how to use it. The terms that should be fill in

are labeled by red words, they are prominent. The terms are listed clear. The location types and

delivery types are easily to choose. So does the date blanks.

(2). System function:

The system is detailed about rental. There is a blank for the renters to describe their needs then the

computer could offer computers what they need. You can also enter how many computers you

need. Then you do not need to rent one by one.

You can choose then delivery type, and you can choose the rental term. It is convenient. You do

not need to rent computer once a time.

5. Disadvantages & improvement to be made :

This system only gives users information that is professional about hardware. As many people

may not know computer well, they can not choose computer which is suitable for themselves

through the given information. The given information is too professional for some users to choose

by themselves.

Moreover, in “ Describe Your Rental Needs’’, this group of people maybe can not describe well,

as they know little about computer. This system does not give specific computer pictures for users.
