1948-49 when the University moved to Diliman, Quezon City, the academic unit was first located at the Benitez Hall (now the College of Education)

In 1959, the School of Fine Arts was moved to Melchor Hall (College of Engineering), Gonzales Hall (Main Library). In 1991, the college transferred to Bartlett Hall, where it still remains on this day. Since its beginnings the school has grown to what we know now as the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts
