nance of the yards, and loading cattle handling inventory/mineral

tubs, etc.

WILLIAMS LAKE REGULAR SALE, THURSDAY, MAY 23rd

We had another huge sale today as over 900 hd hit the sale ring! Interest was excellent on all classes. We had over 80 pairs today that created huge excitement, the crowd was elec-tric! The Guichon Creek Ranch, Dave & Debbie Brace, showcased 3 liner loads of grass calves. The 1st liner load of 31 s/c, 654 lb, notched 217.00. Next, 21 hd of their 539 lb s/c matched 235.00. When the hfrs hit the ring the buyers loved them! The Angus x 507 lb h/c brought 196.00. A beautiful pen of their 690 lb Red Angus hfrs saw 186.00 and 18 hd of their 732 lb replacement quality BWF breeding hfrs hit 176.50. Stan & Judy Hall set a pace on 50 hfrs. Their 561 lb Hereford h/c raced to 195.00. 15 hd of their 466 lb Hereford h/c saw 200.00 and their 625 lb Angus x h/c hit 191.50. Vic & Sue Meyer saw their 554 lb Angus strs top 233.00. Vicky Shirran was in with 512 lb Angus hfrs that marched up to 200.50. Stirrup Ranch’s 703 lb Blk strs hit 216.00. Willy Chambers’ 520 lb Red strs rolled up to 239.00. Stew & Jen Roberts had 513 lb hfrs sell to 196.00. Diamond Island Cattle Co. was in with 535 lb strs that notched 228.00 and their 508 lb fancy h/c raced up to 196.50. Rick & Sherri Heaton brought us 648 lb solid Red Baldie strs that traded to 205.00. The Anvil Mountain Ranch showcased 520 lb Angus x h/c, fancy and good, that traded to 195.00 and their Hereford h/c, at 500 lb, saw 203.00. McNeil Livestock stopped our trade for the week with 500 lb Angus s/c that marked 243.00. Fox Dairy Farms presented 70 cow / calf pairs. Good, young Black Angus cows with excellent Blk Angus calves at foot, that raced up to 2150.00 per pair. What an excellent sale from start to finish! Our next regular Williams Lake sale will be on Thursday, July 18th.

KAMLOOPS REGULAR SALE, TUESDAY, MAY 28th

Another excellent sale here in Kamloops! We had 400 hd on offer with 16 buyers fighting

over them! We had a real good mix of feeders as well as some excellent cow/calf pairs and

butcher cows and bulls. Interest was strong, with the recent rains, people are looking for

Ian & Brenda Jones set the price bar today as they saw their 500 lb Blk Angus s/c top

our sale at 260.00. Marie Vanderwilk had 733 lb Blk Angus replacement quality hfrs race

to 187.00 and her 1945 lb butcher bulls hit 113.00. She also brought us Blk Angus cow/

calf pairs that notched 2,025.00 per pair. Shelly Kennedy watched her 2290 lb butcher

bulls step up the market at 117.00. The Hiwan Ranch was in with a fancy package of 546

lb Red Angus h/c that hit 206.50. Bill Armstrong had young cow/calf pairs that traded to

1,950.00. Ivan Card also had cow/calf pairs that topped 2,000.00. Wayne & Jill Hughes

saw their 1530 lb Blk cows notch 93.75. Aberdeen Farms’ big butcher cows sold to

93.50. Blackwell Dairy’s 820 lb hfrs rolled up to 169.00. Tony Souto’s 488 lb strs

smashed 252.00 and his 493 lb Red x hfrs brought 212.00. Ted & Anita Sorgard brought

822 lb Angus strs that raced to 170.00. Deanfield Ranch’s 750 lb replacement quality

Hereford hfrs hit a sale top for the week of 197.00. John Harrison’s 1520 lb cows sold to

91.75. Fred Bowers had 1738 lb butcher cows notch 94.50. Frolek Cattle Co.’s 1072 lb

2 yr old hfrs brought 150.00. Tom & Linda Hancock’s 1745 lb bulls traded to 120.00.

Butcher cows were sharply higher today with most sales a full 3 cents stronger. Thank you

folks! It was one incredible day. Saturday, June 1st is the exciting 1st ever Kamloops
