The Edwards 910 Phone-Page Telephone Signal Actuator interfaces

with an existing telephone to provide activation of a remote audible

or visual signaling device when the telephone rings. The signal ac-

tuation follows the ring pattern of the telephone. The remote signal

automatically turns off when the telephone is answered or the caller

hangs up. The remote signaling device is purchased separately.

See Phone Page Recommended Applications, page 15-20.

A modular telephone line connects the Phone-Page to the tele-

phone. See Phone-Page Installation & Accessories, page 15-21.

Unit plugs into a standard 120V AC wall outlet and draws power

from the line to operate the remote audible or visual signal.

Ideal for use in factories, warehouses, loading docks, and construc-

tion sites.

The Edwards electro-mechanical, pressed steel, telecode relays are

designed to activate up to 5 vibrating-type horns, buzzers, and

bells. The unit's windings are rated in ohms rather than volts. Wire

size and number of turns vary with resistance requirements.

The B-8316 series relay is supplied with a capacitor; the B-8315 se-

ries is not. If a capacitor is required, order the Cat. No. B-8325 one

micro farad, 400V capacitor with bracket.

Unit mounts to any flat surface using the mounting holes on 3 3/8"

(86mm) centers. 1/2" (13mm) and 3/4" (19mm) knockouts are pro-

vided for input and output wiring.

Relays operating on AC ringing voltage and used on common bat-

tery circuits require capacitors. Relays operating on DC ringing

voltages do not require capacitors unless energized by a common

battery.

For areas where ambient noise levels are high or where personnel

are unable to be near telephones at all times such as factories,

loading docks, mines, quarries, lumber yards, gas stations, found-

ries, etc.

Ordering Information

Specify pull up coil resistance, voltage, and frequency data. For

standard phone system ringing circuits, specify same coil resis-

tance as bell ringer coils. For intercommunicating phone ringing cir-

cuits, specify relays of same voltage and frequency as ringing cir-

cuit.

The Edwards B-N-8546 AC and B-8526 DC Series are designed for

use where a loud and distinctive signal is needed. The sound

mechanism of the signal starts and stops instantly with current im-

pulse. The projector is connected to the heavy duty die cast alumi-

num housing by a cast aluminum, threaded ring.

Two mounting lugs are provided on either side of the unit for wall

mounting. The housing is tapped on one side for 1/2" (13mm) con-

duit to allow for field wiring installation.

Used where directional sound dispersion is required or specified.

Applications include timing, scheduling, paging, and general alarm

at construction sites, textile and paper mills, lumber yards, and

shipping docks.
