What is phone shopping

The phrase mobile commercewas originallycoined in 1997 to mean "the delivery of electroniccommerce capabilities directly into the consumershand, anywhere, via wireless technology."Manychoose to think of Mobile Commerce as meaning"a retail outlet in your customers pocket.

Mobile commerce is worth US$230 billion,

with Asia representing almost half of themarket, and has been forecast to reachUS$700 billion in 2017.

According to BI Intelligence in January 2013, 29% of

mobile users have now made a purchase with their

phones.Walmart estimated that 40% of all visits to their

internet shopping site in December 2012 was from amobile device.

Bank of America predicts $67.1 billion in purchaseswill be made from mobile devices by European andU.S. shoppers in 2015. Mobile retailers in UK aloneare expected to increase revenues up to 31% in FY201314

The Global Mobile Commerce Forum, which came to

include over 100 organisations, had its fully minutedlaunch in London on 10 November 1997. Kevin

Duffey was elected as the Executive Chairman at the firstmeeting in November 1997. The meeting was opened by Dr Mike Short, former

chairman of the GSM Association, with the very firstforecasts for mobile commerce from Kevin Duffey (GroupTelecoms Director of Logica) and Tom Alexander (laterCEO of Virgin Mobile and then of Orange). Over 100companies joined the Forum within a year, many formingmobile commerce teams of their own, e.g. Mastercard andMotorola.

Of these one hundred companies, the first twowere Logica and Cellnet (which later became O2).

Member organisations such as Nokia, Apple, Alcatel,and Vodafone began a series of trials andcollaborations, many of which are summarised here.

information( fast and free )on any mobile device(blackberry, I phone , Windows mobile , Palm ,Symbian and more).

We can make inform decisions without standing inline at a help desk or wondering if he can get a title

cheaper somewhere else while still enjoyingbrowsing in a real live bookstore. And , he says,My wife knows she can find me because now Ialways carry my cell phone.
