Firstly I clicked the select button on the tool bar, which then was a drop down
menu in which I picked the Colour Range option, this option allows to select the
colours in which you want to delete or edit accurately. After clicking on the
background I closed the colour range window and then back spaced the selected
which got rid of the grey background.

After I removed the main background, there was still some blurry bits that the colourrange did not select. So in order to get rid of the blurry areas, I used the eraser tool. In
order to get rid of the areas accurately, I had to change the sizes of the eraser just to
make sure that I did not get rid of parts of the actual image.

Then I right clicked on the text layer, which bought down a drop down layer which then
allowed me to Rasterize Type which makes the text layer into an image. After rasterizing the
layer, I duplicated it by dragging the layer down to the bottom. Then i turnt off the layer by

I then had to use the selection tool to select around my text, but also leave
enough room above my text for my flames. Then I went on the filter button and
then went down to liquify option. To create my flames I changed the size of my
brush to about 19, and then clicked on the places where I wanted my flames an
then dragged it upwards. For bigger flames I just increased the size of the brush,
and then just used the same technique.
