Storytelling
Storytelling is an ancient art and has evolved from word of mouth
Today we can tell stories using software &
multimedia to create powerful presentations.
This format would be known as:
Digital Storytelling
What is Photo Story 3?
Presentation software Uses a wizard format to assist the user to create
the presentation. Wizard allows import of pictures, & then sound,
text, effects and transitions can be added to the pictures.
Free software from Microsoft Used predominantly for Digital Storytelling
Photo Story 3 Tools
Software, such as Photo Story 3 allows us to add:
Graphics Titles Narration (you can add the narration) Motion and Transitions (and you can customize) Sound

1. Create a folder on your H: drive for this workshop called “Photo Story Workshop”
2. Double-click (open) your folder “Photo Story Workshop” and create 2 new folders. Name them “Images” and“Project”.
File Type is Important
• This is a .wp3 file• It is a work in
progress.
• This is a.wmv file • It is complete and
ready to play.
Hands On Time
• Please open Photo Story 3 and create your Photo Story.
• Remember to keep all your Workshop files in the folders we created:
