Magazine Photo Ideas

• The photographs for my music magazine will consist of concert/gig images, this is initially done to convey a ‘Rock/Indie’ theme to my magazine. Also these images will add a sense to my readers that they are actually experiencing the ‘concert’.

• The photographs that I have taken will all be hand held by myself, and will be in at the setting of a concert.

• The majority of my photos will focus on a variety of close up and medium shots. This allows an intimate feel for the readers of my magazine, and so readers are able to identify the person in the image which is not what long shots would do. The close up/medium shots will emphasise the facial expressions of the band/artists.

• My article for my double page spread will be based on the artists Brian O’Reilly, so I will have to take appropriate images of the artist for this.

• My photos from the concert will be taken from an audience’s POV. • I have decided to use original images that I took from the ‘Upload Tour’ in February. I went

to the tour with the intention to include the artists photographs in my magazine• I have also decided to use photographs from previous shows that I have attended. (TDCC-

I looked at my concert album, and narrowed the images that I thought were suitable for my magazine. The images I chose were the ones which

had clear focus of the object.
