About Fashion Photography • Fashion photography is a huge industry based on displaying clothing and many other items, fashion photography is most often used for advertisement, it is mainly used for magazines such as Vogue and Glamour just to name two of the biggest selling fashion magazines.

• Fashion photography is different to many other uses of photography as they will focus more on how the individual is looking like and what they’re wearing rather than the whole image, although some fashion magazines get a fancy looking background so the individual who is modelling for them stands out even more.

About Macro Photography • Macro photography has a broad genre, it is normally used for pictures of

insects, bugs, and other small objects. The lighting is key for these kind of images normally natural lighting is the better option so sun light would be the best option for Macro photography. You see this type of photography in magazines and on TV channels.

• Macro photography used to be mainly for taking pictures of bugs and insects but now it has evolved into photographing anything small enough to where it can not be seen well with the human eye. Examples, electronics, glass, plants, food and more. One of the most famous macro-photographers was Fritz Goro who is the person who really brought macro photography out into the public. He worked as a photographer for Life Magazine and he captured many influential scientific breakthroughs such as the creation of penicillin and the separation of the isotopes of uranium and plutonium that created the atomic bomb.

However, all though this is one photographs were used it wasn't for advertising purposes. In the twentieth century people become aware of advertising photography because of an improvement in technology which meant the photos could be done quicker at a higher quality.

• During the First World War photographs were used to advertise and inform potential customers of the benefits of a certain product. About Portrait photography

• Portrait photography is photography of a person or group of people that displays expression, personality, and mood of the subject. Like other types of portrait, the focus of the photograph is usually the person's face, although the entire body and the background or context may be included.

• Portraits have been around since the beginning of time as a means to describe not only physical features but more importantly power and status. Testaments of portraiture as a genre can be seen as early as Ancient Egyptian wall paintings of gods and pharaohs.

• The Renaissance saw the re-invention of portraiture in its modern sense and is a pivotal moment in the history of the genre. Predominately portraying royals, nobles, and religious figures, Renaissance portraits concentrated on the status and personality of the sitter through the depiction of objects of characterisation
