People take pictures for many reasons, ranging from sentimental motivations to
entirely practical reasons. Taking pictures may be
an art form, a family hobby
or a historical responsibility. Similarly, looking at pictures puts us in touch with the past,
keeps us informed of news events and allows us to appreciate artistry.

How to Take Professional Looking Photographs
1. Study your camera. Learn how all the settings work. Read your camera's instruction book and take several test pictures.
2. Position your subject. Look through the viewfinder to make sure everything is included in the frame. Make sure that everything you want in the shot is in the picture, and ready to be captured.
3.Focus the camera. Many cameras have auto focus as a default setting. Be patient, camera can take a few seconds to bring the subject into focus.
4. Take your picture. Keep your hand steady as you press the shutter button. After you take the picture, keep the camera in position to the picture to be recorded. If you move immediately after pressing the shutter button, often times you will just get a blur! In fact, take multiple pictures of each subject. Try shots from varying distances, or reposition your subject and shoot from different angles. This will give you a variety of pictures to choose from when you complete your photo shoot.
