It’s evident that all of my images were inspired by existing photography. Due to having little experience of photography, I felt that I had to explore existing photographers in order to understand the framing and lighting used when taking images. I then almost copied or recreated some of these images. In addition to this, I also tested out a variety of photography techniques such as double exposure, as well as long exposure, to create some quirky effects. As well as this I also used the mise en scene from these images to recreate them in my own photography e.g. hairstyles, makeup etc… It’s evident that the lighting used in my images differs to the professional images, this was on the basis that I wanted my images to be brighter, to convey this neon theme. Bright images also enabled me to apply filters during the editing stage.
