Photograph Analysis 1

This photograph shows 3 people in 3 different places on the stairs, which shows who is the dominant one and we all have different facial expressions which signifies our characteristics as a person.

There are props used with Sam wearing headphones around his neck, and the fact that me and Sam are wearing a hood and Ollie isn’t, that also shows our attitude in front of the camera and also signifies how we can be photographed together as a band.

On this photograph, I am pictured further down the image and this may make the audience feel they are on a higher level than I am.

All three of us are looking directly at the camera, which signifies that our eyeline is matched with the audience.

The location of the image is on the stairs to shows significance and dominance of each person and because the location doesn’t look modern, this may signify and connote what kind of band we are such as historic or modern band.

This image could be used for the front cover or the DPS of a magazine in the form of a band because our positioning in order is different from each other.

Photograph Analysis 2This photograph shows the three of us again and because the three of us are looking different ways, this signifies to the audience how we could be individually represented if we were formed as a band.

The location of the photograph seems abandoned which signifies the rough attitude and characteristic we individually represent as well as together in the form of a band.

The model in the middle is Ollie but because he connotes the audience have a higher eyeline and because Sam on the left is looking to one side, this also signifies his attitude in front of the camera and I am on the screen right but because I am looking directly at the camera, this finally signifies and represents that I am on the same level as the audience because our eyeline matches.

The clothing such as Sam (left) wearing a hat, Ollie (middle) wearing a scarf and me (right) with my hood down also shows how we dress up to represent ourselves in person.

This is a long shot which suggests that this image could be used for the DPS of a magazine.

Photograph Analysis 3

This photograph shows three of us taking up different positioning in front of the camera in order to show that each person is represented with nobody having main dominance.

In this photograph, the eyeline of me and Ollie is addressed directly to the audience but Sam looks to the right which shows that he is trying to connect with the audience in a different photographic pose.

This photograph slightly shows us a different image for dominance because Ollie in the middle comes a bit forward which makes the audience focus on him the most. Our positioning on the image is different which shows the audience the different stances each model has.

The location is in a brighter image which signifies that the audience are raising more attention on the models.

This image could be used for the front cover of a magazine because of the positioning of each model.

Photograph Analysis 4This image shows 3 models taking up different positions in order to signify to the audience who is the dominant person within the photograph.

This photograph is taken in a different style because the 3 of us are looking different ways and because I am in the middle, it slightly signifies that I am the most dominant because this is where the audiences eyeline is drawn to first.

This image could be used for the front cover of a magazine because the pose is in the form of a band and signifies the appearance of each person.

The location of this image suggests that this image could be used for a hip hop genre because the location seems abandoned and many locations for hip hop artists photographs are taken against brick walls or these kinds of areas.
