Photoshoot and PhotoshopIt was one sunny day at Tupton Hall School, when our teacher decided to let us be free and explore our creative abilities. He set us with the task of taking some photos that we would later edit on Photoshop. I may have gone a little crazy with the editing.

Instead of using Photoshop for these we used a website called Pixlr. I did the first two and Hyleana did the last. For the top one I put the writing in first to fill the blank space in the top right corner. I didn’t write this inspirational quote, before you ask, it was a sticker. I then decided to fill the area around myself to draw attention to the centre (ok that’s a lie, I just like the geometric shapes and it probably draws more attention from me).

For this edit, we changed all the saturation/hues separately on Photoshop and then piece them together on the internet using a collage maker. However, after we did thing I learnt how to piece the photos together on Photoshop. (It was a bit more time consuming.) It kind of looks like an Andy Warhol piece.

These were also done in pixlr. The last ones a little ironic with the writing but I quite like the light effect and would consider actually using an effect like this in our final video. I think the coloured one would look better if I didn’t add that tiara on, plus I couldn’t change it to the other way round.

The brick one was done on Photoshop. To achieve this I created a new layer and filled it with a rainbow background, where I decided to take the pinks and reds out. I then merged the layer down and then press reveal all on layer mask. To stay in the lines as much as I could I used the selection tool to select the bricks and the rubbed out the photo to reveal the colour underneath.

The second black and white one would have worked if I actually selected the right picture - the serious one shown below.

This is the one where I wasted time on Photoshop to create a collage rather than going online. It was so fiddly and it probably isn’t even straight.

This one most likely took me the longest.

First I turned the photo. I knew how to do this from art so it was pretty simple and quick. I unlocked the layer, pressed show transformations, rotated it and cropped. I tried to select the hair and just change the saturation/hue but this changed the whole photos colour. I attempt different things until I ended up resulting to the internet. Turns out it’s pretty easy if you know what to do. I duplicated the photo and changed one so that saturation was on 0. I then did the same as I did with the brick one.

Here it just looks like I’m sniffing my armpit. We decided to give this a disco kind of feel.
