Subjective Well-Being andSecurityIn an era of greater globalization and developmentand employment of new technologies, manyimportant security issues are being debated. Ofsignificant concern is how security, or the perceivedlack thereof, impacts on quality of life at multiplelevels. These include questions raised concerningindividual safety and security, organizational security,national security and so forth. In this context, animportant consideration is how security should bebest understood. Although definitions of how tounderstand human security have been proposed inthe literature, it is not clear how security should beassessed. Security can be discussed from differentperspectives and levels of analysis i.e., personalsecurity, community security, economic security,food security, health security, political security, cybersecurity and so on. To tackle key questions related tothe above, the editors have invited a number of notedinternational scholars from diverse fields of enquiryand representing different countries, to submit a
