The School -as founded in %,4 + Samuel Merscough7 an acclaimed musician7 teacher andexaminer. E0en in the School:s infanc students tra0elled from throughout Ireland to attendlessons. The Musical ;erald of % *ul %,, -rote at length of Mr Merscough:s $rominence in Irishmusical life
