PICTORAL REPORT OF THE ORANGE-AFRICAN NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP (CHAN) 2014 BIG SCREEN VIEWING AT EZAKHENI COMBINED BOARDING SCHOOL IN DONKERHOEK. Date: 15/01/2014 Government Communication and Information System (GCIS): Mpumalanga Background: South Africans and all sectors of society have a responsibility to use CHAN to promote the country as an investment and tourism destination; promote social cohesion and demonstrate a commitment to building a united Africa that truly belongs to all who live in it. Given this short background, Government Communication &Information System (GCIS) and other stakeholders have a task to create awareness and get South Africans involved in the CHAN 2014 games. Viewing the CHAN games in Outdoor Public Viewing Areas (PVAs) and Indoor Big Screen Viewing Areas are some of the platforms through which South Africans all over the country get involved. GCIS Mpumalanga took it upon itself to utilize the big screen viewing as one of the platforms to get South Africans involved in the CHAN 2014 games targeting and inspiring young people. GCIS SCO-Mr Bongani Mazibuko informing the youth about the CHAN 2014 and also about match fixtures for matches still to be played. It’s a Gooooaaaaal!!! Celebrating SA’s first goal in this match (SA vs Mali).
