Introduction:

Now fedora followers can finally get their own Pi-optimized distro-Pidora 18

is based on the latest build of Fedora for the ARMv6 architecture, and included

packages from the Fedora 18 package set.

Highlights of Pidora:

All of the Fedora 18 packages are now available from the repositories.

The Distribution has been specifically compiled to take advantage of the

hardware already built into the Raspberry Pi

The OS is compatible with python, ruby, perl, and bash.

For console operation, easy-to-use text editors are included (nled, nano, vi) plus

Midnight Commander for file management.

Includes libraries capable of supporting external hardware such as motors and

robotics (via GPIO, I2C, SPI)

Porting an image to SD Card

Step 1:

Download win 32 disk imager software here and open

Step 2:

Browse the Pidora image file and click save.

Step 3:

Click write for porting an image to SD card.

Step 4:

Finally you will get a successful message.

Step 5:

Insert the SD card in to the raspberry pi and power it.

Step 6:

Login with default username and password

Username: root

Password: raspberrypi
