PIECE – FOR CREATIVE MEETINGS

Piece is a family of furniture for creative work, presentations

and meetings. Great care has been devoted to creating attractive,

easy cable management.

The design is Scandinavian, modern and airy while the inclined legs

give the tables tons of attitude.

The wall-mounted items consist of a laptop shelf,

a glass whiteboard, open shelves, storages and a wardrobe. They

combine straight, clean lines with white housings that are matched

with the desired contrast colour to create interesting fittings.

PIECE TABLESTIMULATES CREATIVITY

All tables have legs, but few have as much attitude as Piece, with

its inclined legs. At the same time, generous surfaces lend themselves

to both planned, spontaneous and creative meetings.

Choose from round or rectangular table tops, which can in principle

be attached to as long a table as you like. Round tables are available in

sizes up to ø 1800 mm with seating space for up to ten people.

The heights of 730, 900 and 1060 mm lend themselves to a variety

of different working situations, from sitting to standing, made stable

with sturdy steel legs.

The design means that a single table can fulfil a number of tasks;

from the coffee or lunch room to the library or touch down

workplaces in modern activity-based offices.

PIECE MEDIA FURNITUREBRINGS ORDER TO CREATIVE CHAOS

The Piece series is constructed from four basic items:

a laptop shelf, a glass whiteboard, shelf sections and storages

of various sizes.

The design combines straight, clean lines and white frames

with interiors in contrast colour or veneer, while the laptop shelf

and whiteboard are available in all contrast colours.

Piece cabinets with doors are adapted for AV technology

with partly open backs for ventilation and concealed cable

management. They also have attractive penetrations

in top and bottom panels.

Intelligent wall hanging makes the series easy to install

and adjust horizontally. The design creates an airy feeling in

conference rooms, creative spaces and lounges etc.

PIECECABLE MANAGEMENT

The Piece table is available with a cable hatch and slit which can

be contrast coloured for effect. The cable tray beneath the table

top effectively conceals all wires and adapters.

Cabinets with doors have open backs for cable management and

ventilation and cable grooves in the top (option) and bottom panel,

as shown in the image top right.

Bottom right is the laptop shelf with lockable drawer for laptop and

attractive cable penetration in the top panel.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONThe wall-mounted storage is suspended from a bevelled strip installed on the wall with a corresponding strip mounted on the storage unit.

Glass sheets in different colours are available for the shelves, to be installed over the top panel to provide a tougher surface that is easy to keep clean.

The shelves are available with or without a cable track in the top panel for easy management of media equipment cables. When installed on a shelf with a cable track, the glass top also has a cable track.

The series also contains a lockable laptop shelf which is only available as standard in top coated version.

A whiteboard in glass mounted on an MDF sheet is also available.

The cabinet of the Piece storage unit is manufactured of 19 mm lacquerd or veneered MDF. Veneered parts such as sides, backs, sliding doors etc. are veneered on the outside and inside. The veneer is oak or white-pigmented ash. As standard there are a number of colour com-binations to choose from. Shelves and storages can be combined, for example with white outsides and contrast coloured or veneered insides.

Sliding doors are available in veneered or lacquerd MDF or plexiglass.The edges of the cabinet are flat and have edging strips.

Backs are manufactured from 10 mm MDF which is veneered or lacquerd.

The forest and access to wood was one of the main factors when Edsbyn began in 1899. At an early date, we were econo-mically (and ecologically) conscious of making the most of our raw materials. The Fanett Windsor chair, of which over 5 million were sold, was produced from waste wood from our ski manu-facturing. Waste wood is today supplied to the power station and our wood comes from FSC approved forestry. EASE, our latest screen system, is manufactured from re-cycled textiles and PET bottles. We still think about recycling, now as then. At Edsbyn, we work constantly to improve our processes and furniture production – in order to be the obvious choice for those who select office furniture on the basis of environmental and sustainability factors.

Edsbyverken is certified according to quality and environmen-tal management standards: ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. We expect materials from our suppliers to fulfil the criteria for environmental certification – and we require our suppliers to accept ethical and social responsibility, just like Edsbyn does.

Piece tables and storage units are certified according to Möbelfakta. This means that: Technical quality standards for sustainability, stability and safety and for surface resistance. Environmental standards for materials and products. The environmental standards primarily relate to raw materials and components used during manufacture, while the product standards relate to the completed item of furniture. Producers and subcontractors undertake systematic occupa-tional health and safety work and comply with current occupational health and safety legislation.

Edsbyn was the first manufacturer of office furniture to be Nordic Ecolabelled. Our latest example of a Nordic Ecolabelled product is the Ease screen system which is manufactured from a material normally used for sound absorption in vehicles. It consists of recycled textiles and PET bottles, which makes Ease a good example of sustainable product development.

This segment, with a focus on price, is aimed at companies and organisations that want to create workplaces for a low price. With simple but stable designs in combination with fewer ver-sions, materials and colours, prices are kept down.

The segment with a focus on function. Classic is aimed at orga-nisations and companies that want to create customer adapted and functional workplaces with long lifetimes for a low cost over the product life-cycle.
