of the cup, “this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins” (Mt 26:28, ESV).

But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.
