    We recognize that the talent of our attorneys combined with the commitment to clients and one

    another form the cornerstoneof Pillsburys success. The firm is committed to providing our top-

    performing attorneys competitive, market-based compensation.

    I am pleased to announce that the Board decided today to adopt the following salary schedule

    for associates and counsel based in the U.S. who are currently paid according to the existing

    schedule. (The firm will continue to monitor compensation for associates and counsel in

    markets outside the U.S.).

    Salary adjustments will be made prospectively, effective July 1, for the remainder of the year.

    Summer associates will be paid at the first year rate of $180,000 retroactive to date of

    hire. Attorneys whose compensation is outside of the standard schedule (such as special or

    senior counsel or staff attorneys) will be reviewed individually to determine whether an

    adjustment is warranted; those decisions will be made by Jeff Knight and JiJi Park, the ADC

    Chair and Vice Chair, in consultation with each Firm-wide Section Leader and Debbie Johnson,

    the Chief Human Resources Officer.
