As waterproof WPC products with hybrid cores continue to capture the attention of the industry, many leading manufacturers have launched their own versions of composite core products aimed at bringing more struc-tural stability to LVT.

Aquaflex is the world’s first patented waterproof flooring adhe-sive and Aquaflex2 PSA is the first waterproof pressure sensi-tive adhesive offering a new standard in unlimited moisture resistance. Aquaflex2 PSA is a 100 percent solids, having bio-based content, moisture-curable flooring adhesive that meets CHPS low odor indoor air quality standards (IAQ 01350) and contributes to LEED. This unique adhesive is not affected by exposures to moisture at any level and will even resist the effects of underwater immersive cure in Concrete Pore Water (CPW)*

remaining unchanged, indefinitely. Aquaflex2 PSA is non-flammable, “0”

VOC, heat resistant and solvent resistant when cured. It is one part and does not require mixing. Once cured, the elastomeric properties provide a tough, flexible high tack bond to multiple substrates. Flooring installed two hours after trowel will develop an adhesive bond over 300 percent stronger than typical “clear-set” adhesives.

Aquaflex2 PSA will grab after approximately 30 minutes open time and develop spider web like legs upon inspection.

Edge lift of tile will not occur. Aquaflex2 PSA is the only moisture mitigation product that allows installation in active locations. Demo the old floor, prep the slab and install the new floor using the Aquaflex2 PSA. Cures to foot traffic in less than three hours. This standard installation process saves an incredible amount of money and time. Aquaflex2 PSA is not a sealant but designed to remain stable and chemically inert or unchanged under any level of alkaline moisture. Aquaflex2 PSA is the only mitigation solution that

will withstand topical sources of water and warranted to do so.*ASTM D7705 section 8.2, water chemistry 1.6 M Ca(OH)2,

0.0225 M NaOH, and 0.075 M KOH, pH of 12.6 to 13.0.

Each floor we make celebrates the natural beauty of our trees and forests. We take our responsibility to manufac-ture only high-quality prod-ucts seriously. That’s why we ensure all our flooring meets or exceeds governmental and industry standards. And we have the independent third-party organization certifications to prove it.

Columbia floors meet strict indoor air quality standards. Columbia hardwood flooring qual-ifies as an Environmentally Preferred Product in many green rating systems. Our floors also meet the air quality emissions standards set by the reputable Collaborative for High Per-

formance Schools, criteria established for healthcare facilities by the Green Guide for Health Care, and that which is required by the U.S. Green Build-ing Council. Columbia contributes to LEED points as a Low Emitting Material.

Many of Columbia’s engineered wood floors also feature the Uniclic glueless installation locking system — planks simply click together, so

Four coordinated tile sizes make it simple to create inspiring designs ranging from timeless chevron, herringbone, and checkerboard patterns to modern mosa-ics. Marmoleum Modular is available in 10” x 10” and 20” x 20” squares, and 10” x 40” and 10” x 20” planks. Forbo’s online design tool makes it easy for customers play with color, shades, shapes and patterns to create sustain-

able flooring solutions that enhance interior environments.

Marmoleum Modu-lar is currently the only floor tile that is USDA Bio-Preferred Certified

100 percent bio-based. Forbo’s commitment to the environment begins and ends with the renewable, natural ingredients in Marmoleum. Linseed oil is pressed from the seeds of the flax plant and rosins are harvested from pine trees. Wood flour is obtained from lumber industry waste (sawdust), and controlled forests, where every tree felled is replaced. Even the beautiful colors of Marmoleum are achieved by using environmentally responsible pigments, and the adhesives used to install it are solvent free.

The natural ingredients of Marmoleum Modular give the flooring naturally inherent antimicrobial and antistatic properties that improve indoor air quality and resist bacteria growth without chemical additives. Mar-moleum Modular’s sustainable, water-based Topshield 2 finish provides exceptional per-formance against real world flooring damage, including soiling, staining, scratching and scuffing. While non-renewable floor coverings may be permanently damaged, your beautiful Marmoleum Modular floor can easily and cost-effectively be renewed.

no glue is needed during installation of these floors, avoiding introduction of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). These partic-ular products use PureBond Technology during production, eliminating the formal-dehyde emissions associated with UF adhe-sives. Engineered wood manufactured and sold by Columbia has been tested in accor-dance with the California Air Resources

Board (CARB) and meets CARB Phase 2 standards. This flooring has also undergone additional testing and has achieved Floor-Score certification.
