    Protecting your productagainst theftp This function is available on AVIC-

    F950DAB, AVIC-F950BT, and AVIC-F850BT.The detachable faceplate can be detachedfrom the navigation system to discouragetheft, as described below.

    CAUTION! Do not expose the detachable faceplate to ex-

    cessive shock or disassemble it.! Never grip the buttons tightly or use force

    when removing or attaching.! Keep the detachable faceplate out of reach of

    small children to prevent them from placing itin their mouths.

    ! After removing the detachable faceplate, keepit in a safe place so it is not scratched or da-maged.

    ! Do not expose the detachable faceplate to di-rect sunlight and high temperatures.

    ! When removing or attaching the detachablefaceplate, do so after turning off the ignitionswitch (ACC OFF).

    Removing the detachablefaceplatep The navigation system cannot be operated

    while the detachable faceplate is removedfrom the navigation system.

    1 Press the button.

    When you release your finger, the bottom ofthe detachable faceplate separates slightlyfrom the navigation system.

    2 Gently grip the bottom of the detach-able faceplate and slowly pull it outward.

  • Attaching the detachable faceplate1 Slide the detachable faceplate all theway into the navigation system.Make sure the detachable faceplate is se-curely connected to the mounting hooks ofthe navigation system.

    2 Push the lower part of the detachablefaceplate until you hear a click.If you fail to successfully attach the detach-able faceplate to the navigation system, tryagain but be careful not to force it as thepanel could be damaged.

    Adjusting the LCD panel anglep This function is only available on AVIC-

    F50BT.

    WARNINGKeep hands and fingers clear of the unit whenopening, closing, or adjusting the LCD panel. Beespecially cautious of childrens hands and fin-gers.

    CAUTIONDo not open or close the LCD panel by force. Thismay cause a malfunction.

    1 Press theh button.The Monitor Setup screen appears.

    2 Touch or to adjust theangle.

Thus, the infor-mation may not correspond with a certaintraffic regulation when your vehicle actuallypasses through the location in question.Also, the information on the traffic regula-tions provided applies for a passenger vehi-cle, and not for a truck or other deliveryvehicles.
