ROBINSON ADDED TO OSPREY ROSTERMISSOULA, MONT – In partnership with the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Mis-soula Osprey announced Thursday the addition of outfielder Kristian Robinson from the AZL D-backs. Robinson is in his first professional season after being signed in mid-July of 2017 out of the Bahamas.

After signing with the Diamondbacks organization as a 16-year-old, Robin-son is ranked as the 12th best prospect in the organization according to MLB Pipeline. The outfielder was No. 15 on MLB Pipeline’s Top 30 International Prospects heading into the July signed period due to the raw tools he possess along with a high ceiling.

With physicality and a chance to unleash his power potential, Robinson has already notched four home runs in 40 games this season in the AZL. With a .272 batting average, Robinson has been learning patience with 16 walks and 31 RBIs. With a 60-grade as a runner, Robinson has already scored 35 runs this year with seven stolen bases.

For tickets to any Osprey game, visit the MSO Hub in downtown Missoula, call 543-3300, or log on to MissoulaOsprey.com.

KRISTIAN ROBINSON | OF | BORN: 12/11/00 (17) | 6-3 | 190 | NASSAU, BAHAMAS| FA (‘17) #18

MLB Pipelines scouting report: Robinson was No. 15 on MLB Pipeline’s Top 30 International Prospects list heading into the July signing period in 2017 because of his raw tools, athleticism and tremendous ceiling. The D-backs love his physicality and potential to tap into his considerable raw power. He showed a pretty good understanding of the strikezone with some plate discipline already, especially given his age and lack of experience, and the D-backs know there will be a learning curve in terms of recognizing breaking and offspeed stuff. Robinson has enough speed to stay in center, but there’s the chance he’ll outgrow the spot, in which case he’ll fit nicely in a corner.

*Robinson currently ranks #12 in the D-backs system.
