Car insurance companies do not determine premiums based on car color. Rather, insurers
look at your driving history, your claims history, your credit history (in some states), and the make,
model, and year of your car to assign rates.

It is not uncommon for a seller to say, “We are in no hurry to sell, so we want to list our home for $200,000, even though you sug-gest and your mar-ket analysis shows that the market val-ue is approximately $175,000.” While a difficult thing to do,
a great real estate agent will walk away from this listing. Be-ing in no hurry to sell, does not mean over pricing a home is a good idea. If a seller is not in a hurry, the best option will be to wait until the seller is in a position to price their home correctly.Pricing a home high because the sell-er has time means the house will sit on the market. Homes that sit on the mar-ket for an extended period of time begin to develop a stigma. Buyers begin to ask questions, such as, “what is wrong with the home?” It’s very possible that there is absolutely noth-ing wrong with the home, other than the seller is asking an unrealistic price. If a home is priced correctly, there should be several showings within the first couple days on the market and also an offer in hand within the first cou-ple weeks. If there isn’t, there is a rea-son the home is not selling, normally the price is too high.

Many of our readers live in rural areas. Cows may look docile, but they kill more than five times the number of people that sharks do. Using statis-tics from the U.S. Cen-ters for Disease Control and Prevention, one re-search study reported an average of 22 deaths a year by bovines, typi-cally due to stomping or goring. Cows will typ-ically become more ag-gressive during calving time. If you see a cow or bull on the road, notify the police immediately, do not attempt to catch or corral these animals on your own.

Myth: Cats have nine livesFact: The myth most likely originated from Egyptian gods and religions, where sun god Atum-Ra, one of the Ennead, or the Nine would assume the form of the cat when visit-ing the underworld. Throughout the ages, cats continued to be considered magical and otherworldly, and their resilience in surviving falls from high places and long confinements without sustenance continue to amaze us.Myth: Pregnant women cannot live with catsFact: While toxoplas-mosis is a risk for fetuses, a woman is more likely to catch it from handling raw meat or digging in the garden than from her cats. Cat guardians can pro-tect themselves from cat-related exposure by emptying the lit-ter box daily, having someone else clean
the litter box or wear-ing rubber gloves and a mask if the lit-ter box task can’t be foisted onto anyone else.Myth: Cats steal the breath of babiesFact: Cats are heat-and comfort-seekers. Curling up next to a newborn in a crib meets both of these needs. However, if the cat chooses to press up against the face of a bundled in-fant who is too young to turn away on her own, her breathing may be hampered. Keep cats out of the nursery at naptime/bedtime.Myth: Cats purr only when happyFact: Purring is one of the first sounds kit-tens can make. They can purr by the time they are 48 hours old. While nursing, both mom and kit-tens can be heard to purr. But while purr-ing is often heard at times of content-ment, cats also purr when in pain and in the throes of death.

Garage Sale tip: Just because you’re setting up shop in your front yard doesn’t mean it can’t have the vibe of a classy boutique. Play some nice background music so shoppers aren’t perus-ing in silence. If your kid is really into it, he could even open a lemonade stand and sell packaged snacks or your favorite homemade cookies to make some extra cash. Make sure to have a gar-bage can nearby to keep things tidy.

1923 Archaeologist opens tomb of King Tut - On this day in 1923, in Thebes, Egypt, English archaeologist Howard Carter en-ters the sealed burial chamber of the an-cient Egyptian ruler King Tutankhamen.Because the ancient Egyptians saw their
pharaohs as gods, they carefully preserved their bodies after death, burying them in elaborate tombs containing rich treasures to accompany the rulers into the afterlife. In the 19th century, archeologists from all over the world flocked to Egypt, where they un-covered a number of these tombs. Many had long ago been broken into by robbers and stripped of their riches. When Carter arrived in Egypt in 1891,
he became convinced there was at least one undiscovered tomb–that of the little known Tutankhamen, or King Tut, who lived around 1400 B.C. and died when he was still a teenager. Backed by a rich Brit, Lord Carnarvon, Carter searched for five years without success. In early 1922, Lord Carnarvon wanted to call off the search, but Carter convinced him to hold on one more year.In November 1922, the wait paid off, when
Carter’s team found steps hidden in the debris near the entrance of another tomb. The steps led to an ancient sealed doorway bearing the name Tutankhamen. When Car-ter and Lord Carnarvon entered the tomb’s interior chambers on November 26, they were thrilled to find it virtually intact, with its treasures untouched after more than 3,000 years. The men began exploring the four rooms of the tomb, and on February 16, 1923, under the watchful eyes of a num-ber of important officials, Carter opened the door to the last chamber.Inside lay a sarcophagus with three cof-
fins nested inside one another. The last coffin, made of solid gold, contained the mummified body of King Tut. Among the riches found in the tomb–golden shrines, jewelry, statues, a chariot, weapons, cloth-ing–the perfectly preserved mummy was the most valuable, as it was the first one ever to be discovered. Despite rumors that a curse would befall anyone who disturbed the tomb, its treasures were carefully cata-logued, removed and included in a famous traveling exhibition called the “Treasures of Tutankhamen.” The exhibition’s permanent home is the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

Year 2016 Horoscopes Aries2016 is prime time for you to take charge of your public image and excel at the work of your choice, Aries! It will need effort, but you’re up to the challenge. With the Moon, Mars, Saturn, and Uranus all in Fire signs as your year begins, you have more energy and staying power than most. Springtime may test your patience, as Mars is retrograde from mid-April until the end of June. Polish your techniques and approaches then, and test out new ideas on a small scale. Respect physical limits and don’t over-commit in the late summer and early autumn. Resist the urge to sign up for too many events, gatherings, classes, or putting in too much overtime at work. Your health and well-being are just as important as any extra praise or profit you might receive. Look for insights about yourself and your many friends, especially as New Year’s Eve for 2017 approaches. In many ways, 2016 is magical as well as powerful for you!Taurus2016 is the year for big, important changes, Taurus. You can reinvent yourself from the ground up if you so choose. People will see you differently this year, even if you change nothing. Be adaptable but firm, and be happy with yourself. March and April brings you some new people, and perhaps a shift in personal tastes and opinions. Keep what you like and shrug off the rest. A Mercury retrograde in Taurus in April and May lets you make any corrections that feel right. Radical changes may not be needed, though. You’ll see what works for you. In August and September this will be clear. Strong emotional bonds and kar-mic connections will keep you in touch with the right people, doing the right things. Don’t get over-ambitious, and prioritize your health. People love you. 2016 seems custom-built for Taurus, when you can do things at your own speed and make adjustments until you’re more comfortable with your life.
