Introducing our pre-school service to the Danehill and Chelwood Gate areaTRANSCRIPT
Pippin’s Childcare Pre-school
Choosing the right setting for your pre-schooler is a huge decision.
Some children may like the noise and frenzy of a large nursery, while
others may shy away and seek refuge in quiet areas. It’s a huge choice
as parents, and one that you want to feel sure is the right one.
At Pippin’s we have the space and facilities to give your child the best of
all worlds – action, adventure, calm and quiet. Set in our own area of
extensive woodlands, we offer a family-run pre-school service that is
large enough to create the communal feel of a traditional nursery
without the physical restrictions of a small building.
Most of us love living in this area because of its natural
beauty and tranquillity. The opportunities that our rural
location offers are at the heart of our principles of care
and learning. We don’t simply timetable in sessions outside,
they are a part of everyday life at Pippin’s.
What makes us different?
We offer wrap around care, not just fixed hours. You only pay for the services that you use.
We have dedicated play spaces and don’t have to pack away children’s creations to make way for the next users of the hall.
We offer children daily access to our beautiful Sussex countryside and opportunities to learn in contexts that other pre-schools cannot match.
We can also collect siblings from Danehill and Nutley schools.
We are, and will always be, family run and not tied to the whims of management committees or corporate strategies.
A little about Pippin’s
Since opening at the beginning of 2013, our client base has expanded rapidly.
In addition to pre-school and younger children, we also offer a before and after
school childcare service, which is proving very popular. Our weekend
childminding has proved invaluable to some parents and given them an
opportunity to work or attend functions that they would otherwise have found
impossible. The best measure of our success is, of course, the children, who
often don’t want to go home at the end of the day!
With the news that our local pre-school is potentially facing closure we are now
launching our 3-5 year old service to the communities of Danehill and Chelwood
Gate. We are accredited by Ofsted and follow exactly the same Early Years
Foundation Stage curriculum as any other pre-school or nursery. Between us
we have a wealth of education and family experience to draw upon and the
commitment to constantly review and adapt our service to meet the needs of
local children. You can find out more about our philosophy of care and
background on our website and in our online prospectus.
and
Spaces for our pre-school service are limited.
We will not exceed 9 children in any one
session, because even though we could expand
our adult team we believe exceeding this
number would erode some of the principles
that we stand for.
We offer a free 2 hour taster session for any
prospective pre-schooler, to give them a flavour
of coming to Pippin’s. This also gives us adult
time to discuss any concerns or special
requirements you may have.
We hope to meet you in the near future.
We charge a fixed hourly daytime rate of £4.75 for
pre-school children. This gives you the flexibility to
drop off or collect at a time that suits you, without
constant adjustments to the fees charged. We don’t
levy huge fines on you if you are later than expected
and only invoice you for the time that your child has
been in our care. And unlike so many childcare
providers there is no ridiculous ‘admin’ fee.

We are about half way along Brook House Bottom.
Our postcode TN22 3RP will take you about 200 m north of our actual
address.
Coming from the Danehill or Chelwood Gate direction along Tanyard Lane,
turn left on to Brook House Bottom approximately 200 metres after the
turning for Coach Lane.
Follow the road down the hill for approx 600m (or 1/3 mile) and we are the
next turn on the right after the farm.
If you’re coming from Furner’s Green you’ll either need to overshoot our drive
and turn around, or approach from the top end of Brook House Bottom. (It’ll
make sense when you see our drive!)
