ABOUT SCARLETT DIVAS Scarlett Divas are signed to Sony BMG, therefore being a mainstream band.Their names are Sonia, Beth and Kate whom are all 19.Their ideology is powerful young women who want to be good role models tothe young generation of females today.They are fierce and sophisticated at the same time which shows through their attire. 3. SYNOPSISIn our music video the main location is the bar in which each band member will be in their own area with their own man.This links to the narrative as their body language towards themen will show they do not need them which ties into the song. Beth who is rapping will have a man on the sofa who is halfnaked and with a good body. We chose to do this because wewanted to add the convention of female gaze but also show herpower over him. We will also have the prop of champagne glasses with champagne (will be Sholer) to show thesophistication of the band. The performance will also be in the bar but on the dance floor.Secondly, we will have a limousine where will be shot singing as a band inside. This highlights the glamorousness but also links into the line your best friends ride because it sends the message that they can afford to be driven in a limousine. Lastly, many shots will be in a white studio. The black dresseswill contrast with the white background therefore standing out. We will be having fans to give the wind affect as if they are inthe spotlight. 4. COSTUME Scarlett Divas will have three costume changes. The first for the bar and limousine will be reddresses. However, they will be different showingoff each individual style. They will also bewearing heels which amplifies the femininity.The second change will be for the performancein the bar. It will be more comfortable to dancein leggings and a pretty blouse. The third change will be in the studio with theblack dresses as we have mentioned before tostand out on the white background. Again theywill be different style but each also have a leopard accessory. We chose this accessorybecause of the meaning it gives for the band of being strong and fierce. 5. ANIMATIC 6. WHY WE HAVE DECIDED ON THIS CONCEPT ANDHOW IT WILL APPEAL TO THE TARGET AUDIENCEAND FIT INTO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY We decided on this concept because we feel as young girls ourselves we canlook up to Scarlett Divas as role models. We wanted to be similar to Destinys Child and create a band that are powerful women who dominate over men.This band is like the modern take of Destinys Child, not trying to replacethem but bring a more contemporary style in this music industry.Even though they are similar to many girl bands they would fit into theindustry quite well because there isnt an R&B girl band that keeps the sexappeal whilst dressing classy. The girls in Scarlett Divas do not feel they need to strip off to gain an audiences attention.
