Digipak Pitch

Band and why?

• Chose Two door cinema club as we thought they have lots of conventions of indie/alternative music.

• This would make it easy to relate to the stereotypical audience/target demographic and therefore easy to produce a successful digipak.

Music video idea/synopsis

• Romantic chase between a couple – relates to the emotive lyrics. • Audience research was split on whether to show the band so we

chose to incorporate them in an alternative way. The band won’t be shown as a conventional band but disguised as “everyday” people, however still playing along to the song (diegetic soundtrack). This also relates to the audience research as they said they like the video to be “trippy” and weird.

• The video will be set in the city and the surrounding area to relate to the urban nature of indie/alternative music.

• The editing pace will be quick as the song is up-beat and the chase also will be quick.

• Video ends with the couple finally being reunited in a house and the video will end with a fade whilst a duvet is pulled above their heads (two shot, birds eye view). This will fade out with the end of the track.

Cd/Dvd concept

• Exclusive live dvd, relates to target demographic, "re-living the experience", easy to market and sell therefore make more money, more exposure of the band and the company filming - cross-media convergence.

• Digipak cover/artwork relates to old artwork, will follow conventions and be part of a series which already exists within the band's profile. Could relate to lyrics or themes of songs/album quotes.

• Album cover could represent the relationship between the two characters in the video.

Existing Digipak• We found that the existing album cover’s

concentrate on a singular subject e.g. the cat or the legs. We will copy this in our own digipak so that it fits into the conventions of the band.

• The text is also a large component of the cover. We will recreate this and incorporate it into the image as the other covers do. Especially with the central placement and plain text.

video to add a theme.• Text central which is

conventional of Two door cinema club albums.

• Shot at sunset. • Stereotypical indie clothing.• Shot in the city so that the

mise-en-scene fits with the genre.

• Exclusive Dvd footage advertisement.
