Similar concepts

• Many artists including Pink Floyd, Keane and Coldplay have used depression, loneliness and happiness to convey a storyline in music videos many times before. Our video will center around one person in particular, a person whose life is dull, boring and seems to repeat itself over and over, he then breaks free from this cycle and becomes happier as he embraces the life surrounding him in the forest.

• ‘Comfortably Numb’ by Pink Floyd has a similar concept of isolation and detachment from other people, many thought the song was about the effects of drugs but it’s really about how one of the songwriters felt when they were ill with a fever, they had that sense of detachment from reality and illustrated in strange ways especially in the film ‘The Wall’.

• ‘Bedshaped’ by Keane also has a similar concept of isolation, this song is about being left behind from the others and longing for the life you had with them before it all happened.

• ‘Paradise’ by Coldplay is about losing your reality again and longing for your childhood to come back, this is again similar to our idea for our video; ‘Paradise’ is used as symbol for the stress-less days as a child.
