Killiecrankie Gorge and Car Park – The magnificent wooded gorge a Site of Special Scientific
Interest and where the first shots of the 1689 Battle of Killiecrankie were fired.

woodland walk leads to the attractive picturesque

Red Deer’s close cousin, the Reindeer, during an interactive session with a Safari
Ranger in the Red Deer Barn before meeting their enigmatic Red Deer Herd and
feeding them tasty treats. Great Café with Peat Burning Stove serving hot food,
drinks and home baking.
Queens View, arguably Scotland’s most photographed and finest view is 6
miles west of Pitlochry on the B8018 to Rannoch road. OPEN:- Car Park is

Pitlochry New Year’s Day Street Party, Atholl Road, Pitlochry’s main street
is closed from 1pm to 4pm
The Pitlochry 2015 New Year's Day Program:- 1pm the Vale of Atholl Pipe
Band opening the event; from 1 to 4pm – dancing to the Jack Delaney's
Ceilidh Band with compare Eddie Rose running proceedings. Silly McBee
the Clown performances in Fishers Hotel at 1.15, 2.00, 3.15pm (50p entry).
At approximately 2.30pm the Vale of Atholl Pipe Band returns. 3pm
Shetland's Up Helly Aa, Viking Fire Festival Jarl Squad. At 3.30pm – the
Raffle is drawn, with Auld Land Syne at 4pm. Mulled wine by Pilochry in
Bloom and Hog Roast BBQ is served outside the Auld Smiddy from 12noon
to 4pm in floury baps with homemade Apple Sauce. FREE entry donations and raffle fund the event from year to
year.
Hogmanay (New Year’s Eve) Events.
As you can imagine there are many Hogmanay events organised to celebrate New Year throughout Highland
Perthshire, these are the ones that we found that still have some availability for those who have yet to decide where
to go and what to do.
