To help Novartis Vaccines & Diagnostics launch a division-wide quality initiative called Operational Excellence (OE), PJA created the Excellence Adds Up campaign.
The launch featured photo kiosks where employees saw how many lives they had touched. Photos were featured on a microsite along with animated videos explaining key OE behaviors. These behaviors were also featured on wristbands given to each employee. The microsite highlighted videos, success stories, an awards program and training kits.
After just one year, there was widespread awareness of the program, and NVD made great strides towards making sure excellence was adding up across the division.

Together, they increased right-the-fi rst time BPRs by 90% – which helped decrease release time after quality control by 500%. So our patients get the product they need when they need it. PJA developed this integrated advertising campaign to generate interest in Bio-Rad’s new chromatography system prior to it being released. The campaign was premised on humorously highlighting pain points that researchers experience when working with the category leader (GE’s ÄKTA), and contrasting them with the better solution offered by Bio-Rad.
