As we come to the end of this academic year, we wanted to thank you for

your patience and understanding as we all have been adjusting to drastic

changes to our life since March 2020.

Most importantly, thank you for trusting us in trying to figure out the best

systems for distance learning without overwhelming our students and

families. Our PK3 Team appreciates the dedication that goes into

balancing work at home with distance learning.

Upcoming Events: Virtual Graduation and Parent Teacher Conferences.

PTC’S will be scheduled from June 8th- 12th. As soon as we finalize

details for each event, we will send an email and remind 101 message. We

look forward to celebrating our students promotion to PK4.

Dinosaurios y Mariposas hemos estado aprendiendo del ciclo del agua en nuestras clases anteriores y hemos aprendido acerca de la evaporación y condensación.

Y hoy vamos aprender acerca de la precipitación, ya sabemos que en el proceso del ciclo del agua hay evaporación cuando el agua sube en forma de vapor, y sube para formar nubes y a eso le llamamos condensación. Entonces, cuando las nubes están bien cargadas de agua y empieza a llover, nevar, o a caer hielo dependiendo de la temperatura y a ese proceso le llamamos precipitación.

Para el experimento de hoy vamos a necesitar un jarro claro, agua, crema de afeitar y colorante de comida.

Dinosaurs and butterflies we have been learning in our previous clases about the water cycle evaporation and condensation.

And today we will learn about precipitation, we already know that in the water cycle there is evaporation when the water goes up as vapor. Than when the water accumulates up in the ski forming clouds that is called condensation. Last, after the clouds are really heavy of droplets it starts to rain, drizzle, hail, or snow falls out of the clouds and this is call Precipitation.

For this experiment we are going to need: A jar, water, shaving cream, and coloring food.

Math - Matemáticas (Video)Tuesday, June 2nd

Today our math activity is focused on the GOLD standard, PK3.13.T4 Sorts objects

into two or more groups based on differences in a single characteristic (Level 4) For

this activity, students will sort rocks by size. First, collect small and large rocks. Next,

model how to sort the rocks by size. Parent: “today we will sort rocks by size. When

we sort we put things together that match/or look the same”. Place all of the rocks in a

large bowl and mix them up, take a small rock out and ask yourself out loud “is this

rock small or large?”, then place the small rock down. Next, repeat the same steps

with a large rock and then place it down separated from the small rock. Begin to sort,

one at time grab rocks and place them in the group they belong based on size

(small/large). After modeling, ask your child to sort the rocks.

Hoy nuestra actividad matemática se enfoca en el estándar GOLD, PK3.13.T4 Clasifica objetos en dos o más grupos según las diferencias en una sola característica (Nivel 4) Para esta actividad, los estudiantes ordenarán las rocas por tamaño. Primero, recolecta rocas pequeñas y grandes. Luego, modele cómo ordenar las rocas por tamaño. Padre: “hoy clasificaremos las rocas por tamaño. Cuando ordenamos, juntamos cosas que coinciden o se ven iguales ”. characteristic (Level 4) For this activity students will sort clothes by

Season(Summer & Winter). Explain how the weather feels and looks for

each Season. Next, cut the pictures of the clothes out and mixed them in

a pile, and then model how to sort the clothes by Season. Sort only two

pictures and then allow your child to complete the rest.
