Training for final year students by Seventh Sense, Bangalore.

Placement training of Phase 1 for 10 days was conducted on 3rd August to 12th August 2017 for the final

year students (2018 Batch) by Seventh Sense, Bangalore.

Following are the topics conducted in the training.

1. Aptitude 4. Mock Interviews

2. Analytical skills 5. Soft skills.

3. Resume Writing

Phase 2 training will be conducted for the same batch of students in the second week of February 2018.

Technical Talks

Mr. Amit G Javalagi, IPS Officer Cadre, spoke about how to prepare for Civil services

examinations on 8th August 2017.

Mrs.Uma Bandoda and Mr. Veeresh delivered a lecture on Embedded Technologies and control

systems to all the circuit branch students on 7th September 2017, and she also selected four

students for the internship programme at Vayavya Labs, Belagavi for developing device drivers.

Mr. Roshan Govindan, Alpha 9 Marine, conducted the workshop on Merchant Navy on

16th September 2017, addressed the interested students of all branches in joining

Merchant Navy.

Mr. Abhishek Bendigeri alumni of 2013 batch working with Unilever Company into

operations department addressed the students of 1st sem. on "Creativity, Importance of

Creativity in Career Growth". on 28th Oct 2017.

Dr. Govind Welling presented a talk on “The role of faculty in the development of

Institute” at Faculty Development Programme on 28th November 2017.

During this occasion, the Principal and all the faculty members were present.

Campus Drive at SGBIT from November 2017 till Date.

1. Saankhya Labs, Bangalore pool drive was conducted on 22nd & 23rd November 2017 for

circuit branches. Colleges from Belgaum, Bagalkot, Varur, Nipani, Chikkodi, Nidasoshi

participated in the drive.

2. Adani Group, Ahmedabad, campus recruitment test was conducted on 23rd January 2018,

which was open for Mechanical branch students. 33 students attended the drive and 5

students shortlisted for the final round which will be conducted on 16th February 2018 at

KLE, Engineering College, Belagavi.

3. Assessment test of Hiremee, Bangalore was conducted on 8th February 2018 for all the branch

students. The shortlisted candidates in the assessment test will be called for the interviews of

various listed companies at Hiremee, based on the performance of students.

4. CMS IT Services Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru drive was conducted on 15.02.2018 for circuit branches.

5. Peol Systems, Bangalore pool drive was conducted on 22nd February 2018 for circuit

branches.

6. ASAP Technologies, Bangalore pool drive was conducted on 23nd April 2018 for circuit

branches & Mechanical department. Sriraksha Bhat from Computer Science Department,

Sadiya Kausar & Shweta Torse from Electronics and Communication Department got

selected.

7. Bhilwara Technologies, Bangalore pool drive was conducted on 10th March 2018 for

circuit branches. 10 students from Electronics and Communication, 2 from Electrical &

Electronics and 3 from Computer Science of Engineering got selected.

8. Codilar Technologies, Bangalore pool drive was conducted on17th March 2018 for

circuit branches.

9. ABC for Technology, Bangalore pool drive was conducted on 3rd April 2018 for circuit

branches. Pooja Hirekodi, Sriraksha Bhat of Computer Science, Sadiya Kausar and

Razeen Shaikh of Electronics and Communication got selected.

10. Elcamino Software, Bangalore was conducted on 20th April 2018. 10 from Electronics

and Communications, 1 from Electrical and Electronics, 1 from Computer Science and 11

from Mechanical Engineering got selected.

11. Exalca Technologies, Bangalore was conducted on 10th May 2018. 15 students have been

shortlisted.
