Sitamarhi

It is the birth place of Godess Sita and is situated on Darbhanga-Narkatiaganj Section.

Janakpur dham

It was the capital of the kingdom of Raja Janak. Sita Swayamvar was held here. It is situated in Nepal and is Connected by rail from Jaynagar and by road from sitamarhi.

Madhubani

It is a cultural center of Mithlanchal.

Darbhanga

It is a Commisionary Town having two University viz. Sanskrit University and Lalit Narain Mithila University. Several Places of Ancient king and temples of tourist interest are Present here.

Valmikinagar

Valmiki Ashram, where the sons of Lord Ram were born and brought up Is situated at this place. Also Valmiki Tiger Reserve is situated here. Animals like tiger, rhinocerous, black bear, leopard,wild boar etc can be seen in this reserve

Champaran

It is now divided in two Districts viz.East Champaran and Weat Champaran with District Head Quarters at Motihari and Betiah respectively. Asoka stambha of king ashoka era is worth seeing at louria near Narkatiagang andareraj near Motihari. Mahatma Gandhi Launched the Non Coperation Movement For the first time from Champaran During which he stayed at Bhitiharva Ashram.
