Mark out location of speaker, dials, and leads on the speaker front

QA: use the prototype template to mark out
Cut out speaker hole Pillar drill with 60mm hole saw, g clamps
QC: check position of hole saw before drilling
Drill dials and lead holes 6mm drill bit, 3mm drill bit, g clamps
QC: check position of hole saw before drilling
Cut battery access door from back piece, drill hole and then place scroll saw blade through to cut the rest out
Pillar drill, 3mm drill bit, g clamp, scroll saw.
QC: Check measurements before cutting
Cut bendable ply to size Tri square, pencil, ruler, tape measure
QC: Check measurements before cutting
Finish edges by sanding away tool marks Assortment of files QC: no tool marks visible
Bend, glue and clamp ply around the front of speaker
Wood glue, g clamps, sash cramps
QC: Check position before leaving glue to set
Drill the PCB board Pillar drill, .5mm drill bit QC: Check position of drill holes
Populate PCB board Solder, soldering iron, components
QC: Check position of all components – check CB works
Solder speaker to PCB Solder, soldering iron QC: Check connection
Add hinge to battery access door Hand drill, 3mm drill bit, hinge, 3mm screws
QC: Check for free movement of the access door
Attach back of the speaker to the casing Wood glue, sash clamps. QC: Check position before leaving glue to set
Apply sand and seal to the product Sand and seal, paint brush QC: Check for even coat
Sand down the product and apply another layer
Sand and seal, paint brush, sand paper
QC: Check for even coat and even layers
Tape off speaker and areas not to be coloured
Masking tape QC: Check all areas that need to be covered are covered
Add layer of primer and spray paint Primer, coloured spray paint QC: Check for even coat
Glue speaker to the casing Hot glue gun QC: Check speaker fits in space
