GRANTS MANAGEMENT• Prepare and assist in the preparation of grant requests by working closely with the Director

of Capital Planning-Grants and project managers.• Develop and write grant proposals for federal and state grants.• Conduct prospect research for possible grant opportunities.• Assist with quarterly reporting on federal and state grant projects as needed.• Assemble and submit grant requests including letters of inquiry, proposals, legislative

documentation to request letters of support from State and US legislators, and written project synopsis to local government officials for letters of support.

• Prioritize grant funded projects in an agency database to keep multiple projects moving in a timely manner, meet deadlines and manage supplemental material required for the Board of Directors, State and Federal government.

• Plans and initiate public meetings with citizens to comply with public hearing requirements for federal grant funds.

LAND USE PLANNING• Reviews and comments upon required transit amenities and transit connectivity for;

comprehensive plans, pedestrian plans, rezoning plans, and development plans for their compatibility with existing and planned transit services. Monitors legislation/regulation for potential impact upon land use and transit.

• Review construction projects to ensure transit amenities are installed and submit necessary documentation to Hillsborough County to allow the release of the Certificate of Occupancy.

•  • Coordinate with developers and their representatives as well as with agency staff to

ensure highest benefit of public transportation in connection with planned development.

GOVERNMENT LIAISON

GOVERNMENT LIAISON • Day to day liaison with Government counterparts. Serves as agency lead for Land Developer

inquiries, local government inquires on land use issues, transit in local plans, and grant applications related to the transportation disadvantaged, enhanced mobility for seniors and individuals with disabilities. The position serves as the point of contact to departments of local, state, and federal government agencies.

• Coordinate with the Local Goverment Planners and Engineers on concerns regarding HART requirements for new construction impact to transit needs.

• Coordinate with the Planning Commission on Comprehensive Plan Amendments and community plans. Provides the agency’s position on the proposed changes.

• Coordinate with the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Planners, providing the necessary documentation to ensure the updates of the Long Range Transportation Plan and the Unified Work Program reflect the transit needs listed in the Transit Development Plan. Serve as the transit agency contact for the MPO Citizens Advisory Committee to responds to public inquires and concerns for transit.

Legal Documents/ Management

• Conduct diligent searches for absent parents by phone calls, writing and submitting letters to public agencies, utilities companies and last known contacts to obtain the whereabouts of the absent parent.

• Supervise and evaluate front office employees. Weekly meetings with staff. • Prepare affidavits, pleadings, and other legal documents for child custody

proceedings. • Handle confidential/ sensitive files.• Provide weekly report for directors and provide statistical reports for the federal,

state, and local government.
