The New Colombiere Community Residence 

▪ LEED silver equivalent, 60,000 SF, 3‐story new

religious building providing residen al, communal and

worship facili es for 38 senior clergymen of the

Maryland Society of Jesus in a suppor ve living

environment designed to enhance aging in‐place.  Construc on occurred on an occupied campus.

▪ The project scope included 38 residen al rooms, anew chapel, library, main living room, commercial

kitchen, and administra ve office spaces.   In addi on,

this project included systems and equipment to meet

the special needs of the elderly, such as nurse call

systems and emergency power.

▪ This project was completed with the CM at Risk

delivery method.

▪ The project included chilled beams, construc on of a new elevator and sha , new MEP systems, and backup generator.  

▪ Also included a campus u li es upgrade package which involved running new chilled water piping from the campus power plant as well as upgraded electrical services.  

Maryvale Preparatory  Humanities Building 

▪ New ground‐up, 28,000 SF Humani es Building that houses a new 500‐seat auditorium, atrium and classroom space.    

▪ New synthe c field and track, along with new so ball and prac ce fields, and scoreboard.  The D‐Zone area includes long jump, triple jump, high jump and pole vault events.   

▪ The project includes new sep c field and pump sta on, stormwater management and storage facili es.

UMUC—SFSC Building Renovations 

▪ This project is the 143,000 SF fast‐track, interior renova on of an exis ng office building.   

▪ Three floors were renovated into administra ve offices, classrooms, pantries, si ng areas, and common areas.   

▪ Preconstruc on services were provided including value engineering, constructability reviews and mul ple budgets at designated design levels.

▪ In addi on to working on the core and shell, P-C bid the interior work and then started the interior work in conjunc on with comple on of the core and shell work.

▪ The project consisted of the installa on of replacement windows, HVAC and electrical system for the 8‐story, 115,500 SF high rise dormitory.  It was phased over two summers.  

▪ Installa on of a new two‐pipe HVAC fan coil unit system, as well as complete gut of the mechanical room, including removal of exis ng convector hea ng system and reconfigura on of the room layout and equipment.   

▪ Renova on of the main lobby included finishes, ceiling  les and ligh ng, corridor/stairwell/ves bule doors, and replacement of the exis ng

Green House Residences at Stadium Place

▪ Ground-up construction of a LEED Silver, 44,560 SF, 4-storywith basement, 49-bed skilled nursing facility.

▪ This facility is the first in Maryland meeting all requirementsto be called a “Greenhouse” facility.

▪ Each floor has 10 “apartments” with individual handicappedaccessible bathrooms and lift systems.

▪ Each floor also has a commercial kitchen, as well as diningand living rooms, with built-in book cases and electricfireplaces. The facility also houses a spa/salon on each floor,and a physical therapy room.

▪ One half of the basement level is fit-out as offices for GEDCO; the nursing home operated by Catholic Charities.

UMCP—Shoemaker Building Renovations

▪ The ground floor slab on grade was lowered 8” requiring underpinning of 80% of the exterior founda ons. Mechanical room was expanded below por ons of the 1st floor slab on grade, an exis ng pit was infilled with steel and slab on deck to make the 1st floor slab one eleva on.   

▪ New windows and doors, modifica ons to the limestone façade to widen a ground floor entrance, and architectural retaining walls were added.

▪ Demoli on included store front, metal sliding doors, plumbing fixtures, framing, asphalt and concrete floor, paving, and electrical and mechanical systems  

▪ New construc on included metal framing, metal siding, concrete flooring and founda ons, structural steel, overhead doors and pavement 

▪ Exterior work included 1100 feet of exterior canopy with insulated translucent fiberglass sandwich panel roof system and new  underground u li es

▪ The CSU Library HVAC project was a phased renova on of an occupied 81,000 SF library facility. 

▪ The project involved major mechanical and electrical infrastructure upgrades that included a new roof top packaged unit, new air handling units in the basement, connec ons to the campus chilled and hot water hea ng loops, DDC controls, and sprinkler system. 

▪ This project was procured through the state Universi es system and all state requirements such as prevailing wage rates, MBE goals and other protocols were met by the P‐C team.

▪ Project included demoli on of exis ng field house and infill the 12’ basement to create a single story field house. The field house consisted of two small split faced block structures, with flat roofs, with a larger architectural concrete  and steel canopy over the en re space to create an outside covered gathering space.

Northrop Grumman Office Fit‐Out

▪ This project was the 3,500 SF conversion of an exis ng pharmacy into office spaces.   

▪ The conversion required complete demoli on of an exis ng pharmacy that was situated directly above the Shock Trauma Triage area.  

▪ This required extensive infec on control measures in Triage in order to remove the dumbwaiter, it’s enclosure walls, and to infill the floor opening with structural steel and concrete.  

▪ This project had mul ple phases in order to keep adjacent offices and medical support areas accessible.

UMMC—4STA Patient Unit Renovation  

▪ This project was a renova on of an exis ng 20 bed inpa ent care unit to be u lized as a Trauma step‐down unit.

▪ This project involved light demoli on, minor electrical and mechanical upgrades, some new wall and door configura ons in support space areas, and new architectural finishes.

▪ This project was fast paced, with an aggressive schedule, and included long lead finish items.

Power, data/voice and audio visual cabling and terminations were provided.
