Comments: Federal Electric Commission (CFE) pilot project: CFE has recently announced that it will call for a pilot project to liberalize and rent its fuel storage capacity for over 10 million barrels, until 2030. The process will be conducted by the State-Owned Subsidiary of CFE known as CFE Energy and is expected to take place during this first semester of 2017. In Baja California, CFE will offer 10 tanks with a storage capacity of 574 thousand barrels located in Rosarito, Ensenada and Mexicali.

In Sonora, 21 tanks will be offered with a capacity of one thousand and twenty barrels in Guaymas, Puerto Libertad and Caborca. The consortium which acquired such contract, is controlled by Grupo Carso (Group owned by Slim). The infrastructure of this new airport will be one of the largest infrastructure projects that will be developed in Latin America (according to information provided by Forbes.com).
