Adaptor Cable Gland Seal

Some times there is a request from the telecompipe installer or the telecom company to inflate the

PE pipe with air pressure This fitting can be

threaded into any standard female thread and air

pressure can be inflated using standard tire

inflating equipment The assumption is that the

fitting connected to the pipe is not a Plasson fitting

and thus we supply the air ventil on a threaded

plug

a need to inflate the pip with air pressure

between the plug adaptor and the nut

The Cable Gland Seal is used when there is a

need to seal the end of the pipe after the telecom

cable was put in the pipe and the cable continues

out of the pipe A seal is achieved between the

internal surface of the pipe the Cable Gland Seal

and the external surface of the cable It is a

one piece rubber part with a slot along all its

length In order to use it a Plasson coupler is

installed on the end of the pipe before the cable

is pushed through the pipe After the cable has

been pushed or pul led through the pipe

the nut is disassembled from the coupler body

the split ring is taken out the Cable Gland Seal

is put over the cable the cable is forced through

the slot of the Cable Gland Seal and then the

Cable Gland Seal is pushed into the coupler body

and the nut is tightened over it This seal was

designed as a custom made product for British

Telecom and fits on a cable with an external

iameter of mm If there is a need for something

similar but with different dimensions it can be

discussed

Cable Installation Guard

This device is assembled on the end of the pipe prior

to the cable blowing operation It enables the air to

f l ow th rough wh i l e p ro tec t i ng the end o f the p i pe

from penetration of coarse dirt The riser has through slots

machined long its length to enable the blown air to

come out during the cable blowing operation A cylindrical

metal net is bound to the internal side of the riser covering

the internal side of the slots and acting as a filter letting

the air out and preventing dirt from penetrating into the pipe
