The athletes found guilty of violating Anti-Doping Rules of NADA were given opportunity to

present themselves before the Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel and explain their cases on the date

and time fixed by the Panel for hearing. The Panel held 07 sittings during the month of July,

2019, and issued 10 orders as per the following details:

As per the Anti-Doping Rules of NADA, an appeal can be filed by the athlete and other parties

against the order of the ADDP. The Anti-Doping Appeal Panel has 01 sitting during the month

Mass Athlete Awareness Program Against Doping in Sports

NADA has been conducting anti doping awareness workshops, educational and awareness

seminars about the prohibited drugs/substances and methods in sports across the country for

sports persons. Young athletes, coaches and support staff. In the month of July 2019, 07 nos. of

such awareness cum educational workshops were conducted by NADA at following places:

Meeting cum Training on Athlete Biological Passport (ABP) Program:

A meeting cum training program on Athlete Passport Management Unit (APMU) was organized

by NADA on 30.07.2019 in the Chairmanship of DG, NADA so as to discuss plan to setup

APMU in India. Dr. Xavier de la Torre, Deputy Director, Dope Testing Laboratory, Rome

provided his expertise on significance of ABP and role of APMU experts to enhance the quality

and scope of dope testing. Indian APMU experts from AIIMS/ BHU as identified by NADA

discussed their queries with Dr. Torre about APMU. Scientific Director, National Dope Testing

Laboratory (NDTL) and officials/ scientific staff of NADA/NDTL were also present during the

meeting.
